EuroEyes Laser Eye Centres - Pudong

The operation was great, you have to push through the first 4 hours after the operation (it's best to sleep) and from then on it's an absolute dream to be able to see clearly without glasses 🤩 I can absolutely recommend the treatment at Euroeyes (flexible, competent, very pleasant)!

I would like to recommend that everyone think carefully about replacing their lenses!!!! After 3 more operations lasting several hours in the hospital and the worst case retinal detachment with macula off in 10/23 with irreparable damage due to macular involvement and death of sensory cells (7 months after the initial operation) I almost lost my right eye (the doctor's wording: The preservation of the eye is the minimum goal, the rest is a bonus - don't expect anything in terms of vision), current status: I only see shadows, distorted, I can't even see the fingers of my hand directly in front of my eyes and meter-high numbers in the distance are not due from severe restrictions / complete permanent failures in the central field of vision, to today absolute restrictions in both professional life (another month-long inability to work to date) and private life (including no driving, dependence on others, no sports, vacation had to be canceled due to retinal detachment and is also permanent unplanned!). In addition, since March 23, almost daily headaches, dizziness, psychological treatment due to the trauma. But now first things first: on March 13, 2023, the first operation (planned was on the right and left) by a doctor who had just been employed at euroeyes for a few weeks. In eye 1 there were complications: the capsular bag was damaged in an unsuccessful operation (confirmed by the Barmbeck Clinic), as a result of which the lens fell into the back of the eye and had to be removed in an emergency operation lasting several hours including removal of the vitreous body. Surgery on the second eye was therefore postponed and successfully carried out personally by the boss on August 23, 2023. The risk was in the absolute per mille range and several doctors confirmed to us that it should NEVER have happened like that. Then I was released WITHOUT a lens for 6 weeks (i.e. practically blind) so that everyday working life with screen work and any participation in my private life were excluded. Then another operation in Bochum on April 25, 2023 where the lens was inserted, but no longer a multifocal lens but only a mono lens due to the defective capsular bag - but that doesn't matter anymore because I can't see anything in my eye anymore anyway. To be fair, you really have to give euroeyes credit for hiring the best specialist and also paying for the operation, which gave me 60% vision in the distance, at least until the next complication in October. Then there was another incident with the retinal detachment with macular involvement and irreparable damage in 10/23, a week before I wanted to go on vacation after months of suffering, it was already booked and family members were involved. Unfortunately this had to be canceled...This irreparable damage has now been confirmed by several independent bodies, so there is no longer any hope that the eye will return to a livable condition and be suitable for everyday use. I've been unable to work here for 4 months now and suddenly euroeyes is out. In addition to the health catastrophe, the permanent professional and private restrictions and the challenge of at least the left eye being able to take over the essential functions of the right eye reasonably well and of being able to return to everyday life with some limitations at some point, there are now massive ones for the first time financial differences due to receipt of sick pay. Of course, the monthly fixed costs continue. And that's exactly when euroeyes lets you down! There should at least be a certain code of honor, loyalty and understanding and decency is due. So be really careful, think carefully BEFORE whether, in the worst case scenario, you want to live permanently with health and financial restrictions, have an employer who tolerates months of absence and take the risk!!! I was also in the situation with glasses, contact lenses and many failed attempts at permanent optimization but I sacrificed my eye for it and would never do it again!... (Show more)

The overall concept of Euroeyes is professional from the initial consultation to the follow-up examination. I had trifocal lenses inserted in both eyes at the same time and the result is really impressive. I was able to see clearly the day after the operation and everything else improved daily (e.g. circles of lights). The team in Hamburg works hand in hand and even though I had to deal with so many different employees, everyone was very competent and I was always well informed about the next step. I give the greatest praise to my surgeon, who really explained and predicted every move, so that the fear disappeared and the procedure was over super quickly. Plus, I never thought that the whole thing would be painless and wouldn't cause any problems afterwards. I had my nearsightedness corrected here using Lasik surgery and I am absolutely thrilled - not only with the result (I can see wonderfully), but also with the friendliness of the staff, the unproblematic operation and the sensitive, very nice doctor! 4 years ago I had a relex smile procedure. Overall, it is much more comfortable than before with glasses or contact lenses and I am glad to have had the procedure. In a few years the costs (compared to contact lenses) should have been paid off. It is never certain and obvious that an operation like this will go well, but most people do it. I had trifocal lenses inserted in October 2022. After a year and 4 months, 2 follow-up laser treatments and 10 check-ups in Hanover later, I can only say that I very much regret the procedure. Vision has never been so bad in my life... I constantly have the feeling that everything is out of focus. I have zero contrast when I see, everything looks like it's through a filter. Every time I check, I supposedly get 90 to 100 percent vision in the eye test, which is true, I can see everything, but everything is out of focus, without contrast, milky and blurry edges. Reading and screen work is extremely tiring, the area in which reading is possible is limited to the maximum, 1 cm too much or too little distance and reading no longer works. When driving, I feel like I have to get within 5 meters of the signs in order to see them clearly. I'm extremely disappointed with the result, a lot of money for a very, very bad result. I've worn glasses or contact lenses for 30 years and my vision was 100 times better. I don't want to advise anyone against the operation, but I can't recommend it to anyone in good conscience, think about it carefully!!!! I wish I hadn't had the procedure. I had my eyes lasered here in 2020. Everything worked out great, great result. The staff are very nice and put you at ease before the procedure.

I had Femto-Lasik at EuroEyes and can give my comprehensive recommendation with a clear conscience. Advice: - The free consultation includes a short examination of the eyes, especially the cornea, followed by a consultation with a doctor in which the doctor, after reviewing the findings, explains the most suitable surgical method - I came to the appointment wanting the Relex Smile method, but due to my circumstances I was advised to go for Femto-Lasik instead (contrary to the economic advantage that the Smile method would have had over Femto-Lasik for EuroEyes, which speaks particularly for the medical professionalism of the clinic) - Also good to know: Students receive a discount, just ask in conversation! Scheduling appointments: - Appointments were made quite quickly, my procedure was 14 days after the consultation The big preliminary investigation: - Plan plenty of time! I was on site for about two and a half hours (with long waiting times between examinations) - Here a lot of measurements are taken and the pupils are dilated, in my case they were dilated and sensitive to light for over 24 hours, you should keep that in mind. The engagement: - Before the procedure you have to get drops from the pharmacy (additional costs of around 37 euros must be expected) - Your vision will be tested again and you will be given a tablet to calm you down - Unfortunately, the waiting time right before the procedure was quite long (one hour) - You only get to know the surgeon directly in the operating room or in the anteroom of the operating room. At no time! - The vision was already very, very good (not perfect) in the evening after the procedure and the next day I was able to use my laptop, go shopping, etc., with only slight fluctuations in my vision and eye fatigue, which were no longer limiting - My vision fluctuated in the following weeks due to the adjustment and the dryness, which wasn't noticeable but was still there (so always use the drops a lot!) The follow-up examinations: - All follow-up examinations were very pleasant and my concerns and questions were addressed professionally - Due to a small temporary unevenness in the flap, I was given another check-up appointment (which was also not charged) to make sure that everything was going well, which I found very nice Conclusion after the last follow-up examination: - Today (eight weeks after the procedure), my vision is perfect - The visual fluctuations and the dryness are completely gone and the unevenness of the flap has smoothed itself out, so everything is fine! 3 years after my Femto Lasik, I unfortunately have the same values ​​as before. Even though I had low diopters. I couldn't see as well as I could with glasses straight after the laser treatment. I had an injury to my tear gland from the eye spreader, the plaster was torn off and I cried out in pain. The eye is still red and swollen after 5 weeks. I didn't have these problems with the other eye in Blankenese. The stars in the golden frame don't help either, as they were also operated on by the boss. But the rest of the staff was very nice. Top advice, the entire team is friendly and helpful. I chose trifocal lenses and am very satisfied. I no longer need glasses. Many thanks also to the surgical team. The employees were very empathetic.

I had a RelexSmile laser treatment carried out at EuroEyes in October 2020. From the initial consultation to the treatment, it was a very well organized process and comfortable space. The only thing I would complain about is the changing medical contacts. Unfortunately, I was in extreme pain on the day of the treatment and still have dry eye pain now. During a debriefing I was told that I was probably one of the few patients who had bad luck and I was given a note of eye drops written down on a piece of paper. Since it wasn't a prescription, I had to cover the costs myself. The doctor wanted to report after his parental leave for follow-up treatment, which unfortunately did not happen. I then had a cortisone treatment with my ophthalmologist. Unfortunately, 2 1/2 years later, dry eyes are still a daily companion. I chose the RelexSmile method specifically to eliminate this risk.... I had my eyes lasered with the Relex Smile variant in December 21. Preliminary examinations and surgery went well and I felt like I was in good hands. Unfortunately, I have had problems with dry eyes every day since the operation. Several follow-up examinations confirmed to me that this could be a normal after-effect of the operation. I find this to be a relatively severe limitation in everyday life, as I sometimes can't read emails on the PC because everything is blurry. Crafting and doing puzzles with the children is only possible in good moments. If I had known this beforehand, I would probably have decided against the operation. From the first contact until now (8 weeks) after my eye surgery, I have been very impressed with the care/the entire staff and the result. I had two trifocal lenses implanted on November 7th, 2023. I would like to thank my operating surgeon (Dr. Holland) and the entire surgical team for their very competent and sensitive care👌🏼👍👌🏼. The ophthalmologist responsible for my follow-up check left me with a very, very competent and goal-oriented, friendly impression. I would like to thank Dr. Schilling very much!
