Dr Marcus Tod
Marcus studied dentistry at the University of Queensland and it was there that he met Kent Farmer, the other founding orthodontist of ethos. Marcus graduated in 1985 with first class honours and spent six years working as a dentist in Melbourne and Brisbane before returning to UQ to do his master’s degree in orthodontics. Marcus has served as an external examiner for post-graduate students and is involved in numerous professional and school-based committees.
Dr Kent Farmer
Kent is passionate about orthodontics and the difference it can make in the lives of his patients. He works long hours caring for his patients but also somehow seems to find the energy for a full-on life outside work.
Dr Shari Prove
Shari has been making ethos patients smile for over 14 years. She loves getting to know patients and their families during treatment and seeing their delight when their new smile is revealed. She takes great pride in the quality of her results and loves seeing their delight when their new smile is revealed.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a business where everyone you deal with is so lovely. I’ve had 2 appointments in the last 4 days for a consult and then to have braces applied. I was so impressed I wanted to start the process immediately. I had a consultation over a year ago elsewhere, and wasn’t compelled to start as I wasn’t sure with the info I was getting or the confidence of the person giving the consult. I have had numerous extensions to my invisalign treatment due to personal and professional reasons, and the team have been incredibly accomodating through each part of the process. If you are considering any significant dental care, do yourselves a favour and do not look past this place. The doctors genuinely care, the staff are mostly excellent and the results you get from your desired treatement speaks for itself. Cannot recommend Ethos Orthadontics at Clayfield enough and appreciate the support over the past few years that I have been a patient with them.... (Show more)

Very positive. Friendly, knowledgable staff and doctors. Short waiting times, efficient calendar management. Excellent end-to-end explanation of the full teeth straightening journey with relevant updates along the way. Consistently high level of service. Good parking facilities and practice access. Great experience having my braces through Ethos, friendly and kind staff and consistent experience across all of their clinics. Always fast and efficient, and can squeeze you in for quick appointments. Additionally, they've maintained my permanent retainer for over five years at not extra cost.

Shari and the staff are so lovely. They explain everything thoroughly. My daughter actually walked out of a discussion about braces happy and that’s due entirely to the professionals at ethos.
Dr Marcus Tod was highly recommended to me by my dentist, Dr Anastasia. Both doctors share the same high standards, focussing on providing outstanding patient care & brilliant customer service. Dr Tod is a very patient, gentle, attentive & fully engaged person. It doesn’t take long before you realise he is a genuine guy who wants the very best results for you! Nobody loves going to the dentist, but I can reassure you that Dr Tod will put you at ease, make you smile, skilfully deal to your orthodontic needs & make you feel like a highly valued customer- and your teeth will look fabulous too! Amazing Dentist! Had a mild emergency whilst on holidays and they were able to squeeze me in. Staff were friendly and warm. Highly recommend for treatment or a checkup!
I have been the fussiest patient ever, and Dr Marcus Tod always goes out of his way to make me feel safe and happy with my treatment. The compassion, patience, and diligence he has shown during my treatment have been unrivalled by any other orthodontists and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
