El Gouna Hospital

On holiday in La Gouna in needed emergency treatment from a dentist. Dr. Arif treated me on short notice. A skilled dentist and a very kind person who reassured me what was going te happen along the way. He performed an endo start in no time. And my pain was gone. I recommend him very much.

My mother of French nationality was hospitalized urgently last week for a heart problem, she was taken care of by Doctor Mario, we had a very reassuring welcome and the care was carried out with great kindness for an elderly patient 81 years old. We were lucky to have a doctor on site who spoke French who was able to do the translation. Excellent medical and nursery staff, best standard procedures, and professional communication even between local Egyptian and us (foreign tourists). Brilliant international personal patient care (thanks to Vanessa) and - of course - international health insurance communication. In a high emergency, we were pleased to have been brought here, for patient safety, patient's rights and open communication are high values that are lived here.

After an accident I had to go to the hospital. I was looked after immediately and very professionally. All the doctors and the German interpreter were there! I felt absolutely well looked after. The necessary examinations were also carried out immediately, such as X-rays, CT, eyes, ENT, etc. The comfortable room was also at least European standard with the best hygiene, fresh disposable linen and pajamas every day. Did a full checkup at the hospital. Had many tests ECG, X-rays, ultrasound, 10 different blood tests, stool and urine, BP, sugar, cholesterol etc. Fast efficient service, lovely staff everywhere. Thank you El Gouna Hospital

Great clinic! Everything went well! Unfortunately I broke my leg while on holiday and was taken to El Gouna Hospital for a check-up. After X-ray and CT, a triple fracture was discovered. Luckily the hospital has Vanessa, a very nice German, who works there as an interpreter. She then advised me to have an operation here. They have really great doctors and lovely nurses there. Everyone was really nice, had a single room and the food was great too! Had surgery there the same day. After 2 nights there, I was allowed to go back to the hotel and continued my vacation to a somewhat limited extent. After consulting with my orthopedist at home, the work was deemed perfect! After my accident I was taken to El Gouna Hospital. After a short time (X-ray and MRI) the diagnosis was made of a fracture of the first lumbar vertebra. Thanks to Vanessa's help, everything was clarified very quickly with the insurance company and the return transport was organized. An operation would only have been possible in Cairo. Care from the staff, including doctors, was good to very good. But it was better for our daughter's food that we took care of it ourselves. It's just a hospital in Egypt.

I like to give 5 stars. Unfortunately I had to go to the hospital while on vacation. I was in very bad pain and could no longer walk. At the hospital I found out that my insurance wasn't paying (my mistake). Nevertheless, the hospital and the medical team helped me immediately. They didn't just process me, they took care of me so much that after a few days I was fit for transport again and could fly home. I was also <$_4>. I was waived a third of the bill. I did surgery on a clavicle fracture while in Gouna. Special thanks to Dr. Mohamed Hashish who has been open minded and communicated pros and cons of surgical treatment pre-surgery, and who has delivered a very good technical result post surgery as evidenced by X-rays and second opinions in other countries. Another big thank you goes to Sister Feryal (Fofa) who is the head nurse of the OR. She took extra care and communicated to others to deliver extra care as I stayed one night in the Hospital (without her my experience wouldn’t have been the same). Also, a big thank you to the anesthesiologist and all other nurses looking after me during the overnight stay, as well other friendly staff (from Lab, OR, Radiology, etc). The Hospital is one of the cleanest in Egypt, lowering infection risks, and it felt like i was in a nice hotel room with good food (food catered from Seventh Star, my favourite in Gouna). There are things to improve upon for the Hospital (noise from junior staff, selection and/or training of some medical practitioners, and standardization of service levels).... (Show more)
