Dr Pieter Vermeulen
Dr Pieter Vermeulen is registered with the British General Medical Council, the Royal Dutch Specialist Register and the Royal Belgian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He got his training as a physician and surgeon at the University of Leuven in Belgium. He specialised later at the Erasmus hospital in Rotterdam, He works with Dr Stefaan Van den Berge, Dr Patrick Tonnard and Dr Alexis Verpaele in Ghent in restorative and aesthetic facial surgery where he performs the well-known MACS lift. He is one of the team that invented the MACS lift. Dr Vermeulen also specialises in aesthetic genital surgery. For this, he sought additional training with Dr. Gary Alter in Beverly Hills, California. In this domain Dr. Vermeulen performs labia reductions in accordance with the new V-technique, modifications of the clitoris (excess skin around the clitoris, clitoral reduction, clitoropexie) and secondary surgery of the labia after previous corrections. Also liposuction of fat deposits on the mound or Injecting fat of the labia majora are performed. Also Dr Vermeulen has a special interest in skin corrections of the belly and breasts after pregnancy, through both surgical and non-surgical methods.
Dr Stefaan Van den Berge
Dr Stefaan van den Berge is registered in the Netherlands in the BIG register and is recognised as a plastic surgeon by the RGS (Registration Committee Medical Specialists). He graduated as a doctor at the University of Leuven. He then spent two years as assistant general surgeon at the AZ Sint Jozef in Mortsel and returned afterwards to the UZ Leuven for his training as a plastic surgeon. In Leuven he did his first two years of scientific research on tissue engineering of the skin, with a grant from the FWO (Fund for Scientific Research). This is especially useful for surgery with body-own tissue (such as liposuction accompanying the MACS lift). After his admission as a plastic surgeon, Dr. van den Berge began a comprehensive fellowship in aesthetic facial surgery (with an emphasis on MACS facelift and liposuction of the face), followed by an additional fellowship in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the nose in Leuven.
It is hard to imagine being impressed with something you paid for but that is how I felt when I booked an appointment with Dr. Van Den Berge. From the layout to the service everything was arranged to make my time with them as efficient and comfortable as possible. Anyone looking to do an eye lift procedure like I was should seriously consider going to this clinic because it is really good. I was very happy with the clinic with almost every regard.
