Dr Tom McCarthy

I would not recommend the services of Gerald McCarthy because during my dealings with him he was unprofessional and unreliable.  A job that should have taken around 1 - 2 weeks took 3 months. When contacting him to look for updates he either did not answer the phone/e-mail or, when we could eventually make contact, we were assured that he was "getting to that later today/tomorrow". The reality was it would in fact take days or weeks before he began any task. We would have to repeatedly chase him in order to get the agreed upon work done. Eventually we had to have our solicitor contact him in order to get the work started, but he was not responsive to her either, and it still took many weeks for the work to be completed. As a result of his delays the whole process took nearly a year and the sale nearly fell through due to other parties getting cold feet as we, taking Gerald at his word, informed them that everything would be in order shortly....
