I saw Dr Allen recently for gynaecological review. It is evident he is extremely skilled and experienced and I felt completely reassured by his advice. Dr Allen was thorough and took care to explain issues and options in detail, which was much appreciated. Rod & his team are amazing & I can't recommend them enough. Rod delivered my first baby & as a first time mum, he always explained everything to me in detail so i was comfortable & had an understanding. The girls out the front are always welcoming, organised & friendly. Would recommend to anyone!!

Our experience with Rod was nothing shy of amazing. We wanted to birth our twins naturally if possible and Rod was open to this as long as it was safe to do so. We are so delighted that we allowed Rod to assist us with the safe delivery of our twins, his dedication to his patients is astounding. We won’t ever be able to express the amount of gratitude following the professionalism, support and individual care provided to my wife and I by Dr Rod Allen our Obstetrician and his team. Dr Rod Allen is an approachable, caring and supportive Obstetrician. During the pregnancy, he watched every second and monitored every minute with sharp and decisive decisions that provided us comfort during every step of our pregnancy. While things did not go exactly to "plan", we were prepared for the alternatives and methods required to safely deliver our baby boy; and walked away both feeling we had a positive birth experience. During the pregnancy, we felt in control as Dr Rod Allen provided support so we could enjoy the experience. If you are trying to decide on an Obstetrician, we highly recommend you book an appointment with Dr Rod Allen and meet him for yourself. We took the advice of friends when deciding on an Obstetrician who had an equally great experience with Dr Rod Allen despite their complicated birth. Finally, post-pregnancy Dr Rod Allen’s support continued and his level of counselling and support during the difficult “tired” times was a wave of relief for my wife and I. I saw Dr Rod for my second pregnancy and I couldn't have been happier with the level of care and attention I received. He was on top of every potential complication from day one and the care I received was second to none and resulted in a very straightforward pregnancy and birth.

An amazing doctor who has taken excellent care of my wife while pregnant. And brought two of our boys into this world! Highly recommend him!

Andrea Heironymus (Not on my own computer) As I strongly believe that every pregnancy and delivery is different, I will not comment (as no one else should be) about the right or wrong way a baby should be welcomed into this world. I was referred to see Dr Rod Allen for my first pregnancy in 2011 by my GP. I have two Blood clotting factors, which may result in a complicated pregnancy and delivery. My GP informed me that Dr Allen takes on women with “tricky” health risks factors. My pregnancy was successfully managed in a holistic and professional manner and I not once was I worried for the health or welfare of either myself, or my baby. Also, I am Registered Nurse, working on a Surgical Gynaecology Ward. I work with Dr Allen on a professional level and regularly see how he deals with and treats his patients. He is a credit to his profession and I not only trust him with my life, but with the life of my babies. I have worked with many OBGYN’s and would still not change from Dr Allen. I regularly refer Dr Allen to anyone seeking an OBGYN. I have four sisters, three friends and two cousins who have all had Dr Allen as their OBGYN. They have each had different experiences with their pregnancies and deliveries, yet one continuous result, a safe and well monitored journey throughout their pregnancy and follow ups. I am currently seeing Rod as we prepare for the birth of our third child. Rod also cared for me with my first two children and there is a reason I keep coming back. Overpriced and underwhelming. Went for a fertility consultation after 8 months of trying to conceive as a healthy 34 year old woman, was asked barely any questions about lifestyle, menstrual cycle, etc. Very quick to suggest invasive (and expensive) surgical diagnostic procedures and interventions. The cost of the consultation was ~$360, plus over $100 for a completely unnecessary pap test that was sent to Sullivan Nicolaides, when I'd had one through QML less than a year prior for free.
