He completed his training as a general practitioner in the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) as part of the fourth class of graduates of the University. He studied Postgraduate in the prestigious Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, d which became assistant professor of practical classes in surgical pathology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain.
