Dr. Martin Valois - Val d'Or

I've been coming here for almost a decade and every time I've had braces there have been problems (wire breaks, brackets fall off, elastics break, etc.) now I want to finish my treatment because I I can't go anymore, I'm told every time that I can't have my braces removed without the orthodontist's permission? My teeth are in the best condition they have ever been but I am told that if I have my braces removed my "chewing" problems will continue despite the fact that this has never been a problem for me??... I had braces put in three years ago. Throughout the treatment, it was very difficult to get appointments. Once the treatment is finished, he removes my braces and installs a lingual wire. Nothing sticks and my teeth move, they come back like before. Obviously no availability for at least 6 weeks to sort all this out. Plus, I still have to put money towards other devices. In short, poor service after treatment. I really don't recommend it!!... (Show more)

I love their team! Communication is always great and I have a lovely straight smile thanks to Dr Valois and his team.

My daughter got braces 3 months ago and the wire has moved twice, tearing into her back cheek. A front brace is now falling off. The quality of their work is obviously poor. I will not be taking my second daughter to this orthodontist. They are on vacation for 3 weeks with no backup plan for the wire that has shifted apart to contact your dentist for emergencies. I will now have to pay another orthodontist for cut the protruding wire that has scared the inside of her cheek.... (Show more)
