Dr. Luis Mejia Surgery

I asked multiple times for a price assessment in regards to my surgery. I received one response stating “you don’t have enough skin for a tummy tuck”. I provided a updated picture. He will only communicate via WhatsApp. It shows when they received the message sent, as well as when it was read. They are either under staffed or so unprofessional that they won’t communicate with their patient. My friend had surgery with him and come to find out that she developed a bad infection afterwards. Not sterilizing equipment can kill somebody. That was the nail on the coffin for me. I won’t allow him to do business with myself, and I hope you are extremely cautious going to him as well.... My doctor is better than yours! I found the best human being ever. He is caring, professional and lovely. He made me feel safe the first time I walked into his office. He recommended all the procedure needed and delivered as promised. He was always by my side and made sure I was ok thru out the whole process. I will forever be his number one fan. I was very skeptial and afraid of traveling outside of the U.S to Dominican Republic for plastic sergury. But when I found Dr. Mejia I knew he was the right surgeon that was going to bring my vision to life, he's extremely artistic and he doesn't follow trends. All of his work is consistent, natural looking and most importantly he customizes your procedure to your body type. (I found him on American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Confirming that your surgeon is certified by the American Board of plastic surgeon is very important; this assure me that he's undergone rigorous training, testing, and continued medical education necessary to become and remain board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Internation member. I knew that I was safe) After speaking to his assistant she was very kind to me and answered my questions immediately. Fast forwad 1 month later from the moment I walked in Dr Mejia office I was very impressed with how incredibly professional, nice, sweet, highly educated and very very non pressuring he was. He sits down with you and he really listens to your body goals. He also showed me great bedside care when I woke up after sergury. He greeted me with a rose and we discussed treatment care, healing, nutrition, and my follow up appointment. Although it's only day 5 post op I'm very happy with my results, and I'm not in alot of pain anymore. In fact I'm no longer taking pain killers he prescribed. I switched to Tylenol extra strength. Although I had multiple procedures done at one time and the pain was very excruciating at first (breast lift, silicone implants, Lipo on arms, 360 Lipo, tummy tuck and bbl) I'am exremely glad I did this and I would do it all over again. After 3 kids your body is just not the same anymore, some women bounce back and others change in appearance. No matter how much I work out, took diet pills, or seen a nutrionist I never really felt as comfortable in my skin as I did before my children (not that I regret my kids or anything because I love them very much but I was very insecure and I hated what my body turned into.) SB: I wrote this review on my own not because he asked me to or gave me a discount on my procedures. I hope that I can help other girls choose a good reputable plastic surgeon. I know it's hard choosing a sergeon in Dominican Republic ladies because there's so many to choose from. But take the time and do your homework on who you trust with your body. Some dolls don't wake up, have life threating infections, or come back botched. The most professional surgeon you could ever meet. Very professional, knowledgeable, and shows compassion towards patients. Makes you feel comfortable when traveling from another country by his professionalism. Very proud of the choice I made and very pleased with my results.
