Dra. raduated from the University of Carabobo in 2004, then completed postgraduate university UCV in General Surgery at the headquarters of the General Hospital of the West, "Dr. José Gregorio Hernández "graduating in 2010, showing great interest in obesity surgery performed a graduate of a year and a half in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at the Hospital de Clinicas Caracas under the direction of Dr. Alberto Salinas was subsequently K. selected for a one-year Fellowship in Surgery Minimal Invasive - Robotics and a second training Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery in "The Center for the Future of Surgery" at the University of California San Diego, USA. During that year I perform various research on minimal invasive procedures for gastrointestinal surgery and extensive training in such techniques. In this way reinforces the knowledge of the different surgical techniques for weight loss and management of the obese patient. Dr. Acosta also has training in robotic surgery, which provides an increased safety profile over conventional laparoscopic techniques to both the management of obesity and for the management of other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
