Dr Leonard Bergeron
Dr. Bergeron received his medical degree at McGill University, where he was awarded the Robert Forsyth Prize, the highest distinction in surgery for a graduate. He continued his studies at Université de Montréal where he specialized in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery. He also obtained a master’s degree in biomedical science focused on innovative reconstruction techniques at the Université de Montréal andDalhousie University. He later obtained an over-specialization diploma in cranio-maxillo-facial surgery at the renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, one of the finest facial surgical centres in the world. Dr. Bergeron has written several scientific articles on plastic and aesthetic surgery. Among other achievements, he was also an invited co-editor of a complete volume of the Seminars in Plastic Surgery review entitled Aesthetic Surgery in Asians. The volume is a collection of articles penned by internationally-renowned surgeons on the latest aesthetic surgical techniques practised in Asia. Dr. Bergeron has also spoken at various national and international conferences and has won numerous awards. In addition to working at his clinic, Dr. Bergeron also works at theMontreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital (University hospital centre affiliated with the Université de Montréal). He is a professor at the Université de Montréal and since the beginning of his career as a surgeon, he has taught plastic surgery techniques to over forty plastic surgeons in training, student-surgeons of other specialities and medical students. Dr. Bergeron is a plastic and aesthetic surgeon certified by theCollège des Médecins du Québec and by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is a member of the(Association of Specialists in Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery of Quebec), the (Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons) and an active member of the (American Society of Plastic Surgeons).
I would NOT recommend him, at least for rhinoplasty. I only had a consultation with him but he made me uncomfortable: would not listen to what I wanted at all, basically said he would do whatever during the surgery to make it look better and I should trust him, but also that he doesn't do morphs. Acted like he was too good for that but also said he wouldn't do immediate before/after photos so I would only see the results upon cast removal. Also said he doesn't have any social media or accessible online portfolio and acted like that was completely normal. I've since seen better surgeons and learned how bizarre of an experience this was. He was also way too casual about how I might need a secondary revision surgery but acted like that wouldn't be an issue. And for what it's worth: I was able to get a consultation with him within a month and was asked to come back for surgery the following month. Should have been a red flag but he was the first surgeon I talked to. For all the other better surgeons I've looked into the wait times are at least 5x longer. Also if this location is why you're considering him: the surgeries don't get done here but at his other location in Dorval.... (Show more)
I really liked the approach of Dr. Bergeron’s team. They really listen to our needs. Dr. Bergeron was able to offer me an alternative to meet my needs. I am currently in the process of evolving with the C02 laser. Really happy with the progress. Thank you to this wonderful team.
After having undergone surgery with Dr. Bergeron last September, I recommend him without hesitation. He is really attentive and reassuring. I consulted 3 surgeons before making my choice and Dr. Bergeron was the only one who responded beyond my expectations from the first appointment. I recommend 300%. Dr. Bergeron listens to our expectations and concerns. He wants to be reassuring and very thorough in his work. I had an otoplasty (because the one I had as a child did not work and left malformations on my ears). The result is more beautiful than I had hoped! I finally have ears that look like ears! Doctor Bergeron is fantastic. I had a breast augmentation and lift with him in December 2019 and I am extremely satisfied with the result. He is thorough and listened to my needs. He inspired me with confidence from the first meeting. He is extraordinary. Waiting times are reasonable. His team is super professional. I went to Dr. Bergeron for my stretched earlobe reconstruction and I COULD NOT be happier. It came out better than I could have imagined. At the largest my lobes were more than 2in. I never expected to come back from that. My new ears fit my face, look normal, and healed so fast. The procedure was a painless hour. I made an appointment with Dr. Bergeron for earlobe correction following stretching. The surgery went very well and I am very happy with the result! The whole team is very professional, competent and friendly, I highly recommend!
