Dr Ken Law
MBBS (Hons), FRANZCOG. He grew up in Brisbane, and studied Medicine & Surgery at the University of Melbourne, graduating with an honours degree before moving back to Brisbane for his post-graduate specialist training. He underwent extensive training in high-risk obstetrics in busy tertiary centres including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Mater Hospital. In 2010, he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong, working in the gynaecological oncology unit at Queen Mary Hospital, where he gained great experience in open, laparoscopic and robotically-assisted gynaecological surgery. He subsequently further developed his interest in minimally invasive treatment for benign gynaecological conditions by undertaking an Advanced Laparoscopic Fellowship in Sydney. He has delivered numerous presentations on minimally invasive gynaecology at various national and international meetings, and has published extensively in well-respected peer reviewed Medical Journals. He is a certified colposcopist of the RANZCOG Colposcopy Quality Improvement Program (C-QuIP). He is a member of the Australian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES), and the American Association for Gynecological Laparoscopists (AAGL). Dr Law also speaks fluent Cantonese.
After trying everything for 10 years to improve my abdominal pain I decided to go to a specialist. I had a private operation and am still suffering from the effects from an infected stitch from this operation. When I first shared concerns about this infection, it took about three months to be taken seriously. I came to a specialist to avoid drs dismissing symptoms and issues but unfortunately found this was not so different than my experiences in the past. Since my op I have spent hundreds on daily dressings, saline solutions and other antibiotics and wound care items. I have just had another operation through another hospital to try to fix this issue. I also got a mirena which has not in fact stopped my periods, but has added extra pain and extended them by an extra week. Just so disappointed in my first specialist experience.... (Show more)

After reading all the positive reviews I requested a referral to Dr Law big mistake! Went in regarding my endometriosis and PCOS he asked who diagnosed me with PCOS I said my endocrinologist he was very dismissive and said she has no right to diagnose you with PCOS. Suggested an internal examination to which after told me that because I had no pain from his fingers that I wouldn’t have pain from sex! Refused to acknowledge my PCOS wanted me to go for tested and come back to see him I went home and threw all the paperwork in the bin as this man made me feel uncomfortable and unheard.... Great obstetrician. Very hard working and knowledgeable. Felt safe with him throughout my first pregnancy. Team at Greenslopes was amazing from c-section through post partum care. Can barely notice my c-section scar 3 weeks post surgery.
Takes his patients seriously and listens well. Highly recommended

I received such good care with Dr Law. He performed my excision surgery for endometriosis within a week of meeting him and the recovery was painless due to his skill as a surgeon. I fell pregnant 3 months later, he is now my OB and his gold standard of care continues.
Do not be fooled by the selected few reviews. This doctor was unhelpful, rude and insulting. He refused to help but was happy to see me twice and take my payments for a chat. He never conducted an examination or even looked at me. Sent me off for blood tests and prescribed a range of medications on the back of a discussion. My husband and I had to practically beg for treatment which I have never experienced a medical professional leaving me crying after a consult. Don’t waste your time and money.... (Show more)
Dr Ken Law has saved my life. He is the only doctor that listened to me in the past year trying to get answers for my pain. He listened to everything I said, spoke to me several times over a couple of months, and then operated on me 2 days ago. All of my pain had a reason and I was right, Dr Law made sure to be thorough with his investigation, removed some very serious and painful adhesions, freed up my ovaries and bowel, and fixed a few other issues as well. I am forever grateful for Dr Law and I am happy to say I have finally found a doctor who cares and who will look after me. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Law and his staff. From my initial consultation through to my surgery, he has been so understanding and compassionate. He believed in me and believed I was in substantial pain; he is so thorough and really cares about his patients. I have no doubts once I am fully recovered from surgery, I will have gotten my life back thanks to him. Definitely the best Endometriosis excision specialist I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Dr Ken Law is amazing. He genuinely cares for his patients. I went into surgery with no fear at all. I had total confidence in him. He made me feel so comfortable from the consultation onwards. Explaining all my options in terms I could understand. I am so pleased I chose Ken for my operation.
Dr Law saved me from living in pain. My husband and I felt at ease the moment we met him. He is very smart, explains everything so well and made is feel safe.
