Absolutely amazing OB! The whole process was fantastic from start to finish. He looked after me through the loss of a pregnancy and then throughout the safe arrival of our baby girl. He has a beautiful and caring bedside manner and is always available to answer questions/ concerns. My stay at SJOG was faultless and he checked in on my multiple times after the birth. Had a smooth delivery with Dr Joo end of July! Amazing experience with Dr Joo and admin throughout my pregnancy period. Dr Joo is patient and caring. He do scanning in details to make sure baby is healthy for my every visit. He is also very helpful and giving us useful tips (eg. what to eat during pregnancy period for mummy nutrition, what to do / not to do make sure mummy and baby are safe etc). No words can express how grateful I am for exceptional care provided by Dr Teoh throughout my pregnancy.He delivered my beautiful baby Abdulrahman perfectly. With high risk previous obstetric history I was super anxious about my 2nd pregnancy but Dr Teoh made me feel calm and ensured with very close follow-ups and monitoring. We were fortunate to have an incredible experience for our first pregnancy and whole heartedly put that down to having Dr. Joo Teoh as our obstetrician. Joo is hard-working, compassionate, caring, insightful and one of the nicest people we have ever met. Having our first child, we were unsure what to expect and how to approach and plan pregnancy. From our first meeting with Joo, we knew right away we were in good hands and having him there every step of the way (by phone, email or in person), made our journey smooth and calm. Our baby boy was born safely at 4.1kgs via a vaginal birth. Getting late into the pregnancy we knew bub was measuring on the large size and Joo helped guide us down a path to give us the best chance for a natural birth. He is such a calming nature from first meeting him to delivery. We love Joo and highly recommend him to anyone assessing options for an obstetrician. Dr. Teoh is amazing, he is more dedicated to his patients and job than anyone I have ever met. Throughout our journey I could tell he really cared and did everything he could to find a solution that worked. He always made time for us whether for medical reasons or just to answer questions / alleviate concerns. When we got bad news he was understanding , comforting and such a big help with processing it, understanding it and deciding what to do next. When we finally did get good news and our baby boy arrived happy and healthy I could see the genuine joy on Dr. Teoh's face. I can't recommend Dr. Teoh enough. Fertility treatment is always going to be extremely hard but Dr. Teoh does everything he can to make it easier, he obviously cares a lot about his patients and it shows. We went to see Dr Teoh to find out why we were having difficulties keeping a pregnancy and from the moment we went into his office he’s been incredibly compassionate, kind and empathetic with our situation. Even though our situation came back unexplained, he still went through every tests and was very thorough, explaining every detail to us. He even went as far as making an appointment to a fertility clinic for us when we decided to go through that route. Luckily, I got pregnant spontaneously and decided to stay under his care. He was willing to explore interventions that may help keep the pregnancy, answered our late night questions and helped ease our anxieties. He monitored my pregnancy closely and even more than I did. As a nurse, I’ve never met a doctor with such amazing bedside manner and has a very approachable aura. We now have a beautiful baby girl, thanks to him. Our experience with him from the moment we walked into his office, the birth of our daughter, till my last 6 weeks postpartum check has been nothing but the best care you could possibly get as he is also very hands-on as a doctor. And to mention his secretary Natasha, has been nothing but a delight and very helpful, overall a wonderful person. She’s incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcomed! The care and attention we have received from Dr Teoh throughout the pregnancy, delivery and aftercare has been of the highest standard. We were looking for an Obstetrician that was going to be there to support us every step of the way, Dr Teoh was exactly that and more. We kept our birth plan flexible because we had <$_2> in his expertise and guidance in bringing our daughter safely into this world. He approached the difficulties that arose during labour with a calm confidence that made me feel safe and re-assured. Dr Teoh is a genuinely warm-hearted and highly skilled professional who clearly loves his job and places the health and wellbeing of Mum and baby as his top priority. We found the Precious Mum’s package, the abundance of information on his website, you tube videos, research, and articles very helpful throughout the pregnancy. He came to visit us in hospital after the birth a couple of times and was always there on the end of the phone if needed. We could not have been happier with the care we received and would highly recommend Dr Teoh and his highly competent and friendly receptionist Natasha. We are so happy to find Dr Joo. He’s been amazing throughout my pregnancy. Always professional, giving you the best possible care but also he has a good sense of humor which is great. While I was under his care I had an access to “precious mums” package which gave me an opportunity to meet with other medical professionals, use recipes from a cook book “what to eat- a guide to fertility and pregnancy” but also have an access to Dr Joo 24/7. We fully trusted Dr Teoh and at the end of the day we had vaginal birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 3.94kg. I couldn’t recommend Dr Teoh and Natasha - his amazing helper enough.... (Show more)

Dr. Joo Teoh is an outstanding obstetrician. We started seeing him as soon as we found out that we were pregnant. He is very accommodative and went an extra mile to allay our concerns. We had scans every alternate week to make sure that the pregnancy progressed smoothly. He was on top of all the blood tests, very proactive in chasing up the results, updating us on the outcome and ensuring that prescriptions were immediately faxed to our local pharmacy for any medications. He has got an extremely calm demeanour that helps him analyse the problem and the situation very logically and then arrive at a practical solution. This trait makes him a very good listener and that reflected in how he addressed a myriad of questions that we had throughout the pregnancy. My wife and i went in to see Dr Teoh last week to use his brand new 3D scanner and we weren't disappointed! Dr Teoh was very professional and the 3D scanner was incredible. Highly recommend!

We chose Dr Teoh based on his profile, any information we could find online and our instincts when looking through the list of obstetricians at SJOG Mt Lawley. We do not regret our decision, having had a truly wonderful experience from our first appointment through to our last appointment, six weeks after the birth of our daughter. Dr Teoh always took the time to listen to our concerns and covered all bases thoroughly with our questions, tests and results at every appointment. We did have quite a few issues and difficulties which needed addressing during the pregnancy. We did not worry or stress as Dr Teoh always went through everything in a calm and informative manner. He did not leave any stone unturned when working through the issues and always had a thorough plan. At times, we had to contact Dr Teoh outside of our appointments (which is done through reception). On every occasion, Dr Teoh responded very promptly by phone, calling us right away to put us at ease and provide us with advice and answers we needed at the time. He always reminded us, at every appointment, to contact his office at any time if we had any questions or concerns. Needless to say, the birth of our daughter was smooth and went to plan and we are extremely happy with how it all went. We truly felt we were in very capable hands given all our appointments and dealings with Dr Teoh beforehand. He clearly loves his job and taking the time with his patients. He made time to accomodate our busy schedules immediately, took his time at each appointment and made sure we enjoyed the whole experience. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr Joo Teoh. The care during and after my pregnancy was beyond anything I’ve had from other doctors before. He answered all my questions and concerns and never let me feel rushed. Even with having an emergency c-section, I had an amazing experience. A very big thank you to Dr Teoh, and all the staff at SJOG.

I had such a fantastic experience with Dr Teoh being my obstetrician. He was so kind, caring and thorough while looking after me throughout my pregnancy and beyond. You really feel he takes care of his patients, you are not just a number to him. He was very patient in answering any questions you have and explaining things and takes his time with you at each visit. I was really happy with my delivery, it ended up being a C-section which all ran very smoothly. I changed to Joo half way through my pregnancy after seeing a different obstetrician that is well known in Perth (Dr Melissa O’neill) and what a difference it made...I was so much more comfortable with Dr Teoh and felt he had a much nicer bedside manner and overall level of care for his patients.
