About Dr. John McHugh Dr John McHugh is Australia's only cosmetic surgeon qualified in both Maxillofacial and Cosmetic surgery. Originally from London, he began his career with degrees in Medicine and Dentistry, and achieved fellowships in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, before migrating to Australia permanently in 1999. ​His experience working with patients requiring facial reconstruction inspired Dr McHugh to complete a fellowship in cosmetic surgery with the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery. Throughout his career, Dr McHugh has performed a range of complex humanitarian surgeries overseas.
