Dr Joseph Chau
In 1956 Dr. Chaus parents residing in Hong Kong sent him to study at Nudgee College (Queensland), which is one of the Great Public Schools. On completing secondary education he enrolled in the Dental Faculty at Queensland University. In his final year he received a bursary from the Tasmanian government. In return he had to render dental services in Tasmania for 1 year. After working for 3 years Dr. Chau and his wife, Irene, decided to make Tasmania home and he commenced private practice in 1969. As well as running a successful dental practice he has also achieved many professional accolades. During the period of 1974-1995 he was heavily involved with Australian Dental Association (ADA) of Tasmania as a dedicated committee member. From 1982-1984 Dr. Chau was President of the Tasmanian Branch of the ADA. In 1980 and 1995 he was elected treasurer for both National Dental Congresses held in 1980 & 1995. Dr. Chau was elected a "Fellow of the International College of Dentists" on the 21st July 2000. This honour was in recognition of his service to the Dental Profession. Whilst the practice has many patients that are coming from 3rd generation families, we also welcome new patients. Dr. Chau currently works 4 days a week in a most enthusiastic manner. He thoroughly enjoys the company of his staff and patients. The success achieved over the past 40 years could only happen with the support and dedication of his fantastic staff and loyal patients.
Dr Robert Butler
Dr. Robert Butler graduated from the University of Queensland in 1978 with first class honours. He moved from Queensland to work with Dr. Chaus practice in 1989.
Dr John Chung
Dr. John Chung completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with the University of Adelaide in 1996. Dr. Chung joined Dr. Chaus practice in 2006.
Chris is a very genuine, caring, attentive dentist.

I have Dr Huei Chen as my dentist. She is absolutely amazing, very patient, friendly and attentive. She explained the process clearly beforehand and checked if I am ok along the way. Highly recommended!
Pristine surgery with friendly, helpful staff. Outstanding service from the dentists. They are courteous, discuss the treatment and talk you through as it is done. And they don't rush in to start drilling, they wait for the anaesthetic to work! Highly recommended, esp for nervous dentaphobes like myself!... (Show more)
