I had a consultation with Dr Kaur in Birmingham to get advice on my skincare routine and to reduce pigmentation which had increased on my face with age. I approached my cosmetic doctor and spoke to Dr Kaur regarding my skin and what skincare I should be using. I won a giveaway with My Cosmetic Doctor and had my initial consultation with Dr Kamal - she is easy to communicate with and was accommodating when I had to re-arrange my appointment. At my first appointment, I was wary of using injectable treatments and was open about not feeling the need to use fillers or Botox and I felt that Dr Kamal was really understanding and I appreciated her honesty regarding my skin condition and ageing concerns. We discussed problems I have with redness around my nose and forehead and Dr Kamal went through each of my facial products and the ingredients - she recommended stopping them (which I was wary of) + advised 1 cleanser, 1 moisturiser and cleanser. I was also prescribed a topical medication to see if this helps with redness. After 2months, I noticed a change in the texture of my skin and hydration which I feel has changed my make-up regime - rarely needing any foundation. I am completely amazed at how my skin has changed and the fact I haven’t needed as much make-up as normal, with compliments about how my skin looks + friends thinking I’m wearing foundation or concealer. I went to see Dr Kamal regarding my skin concerns and I have to say she was very knowledgeable and was able to guide me with the products I already use and how to achieve my desired skin. Professional and a lovely Dr, would highly recommend!

I am a woman in my late fifties. I like to wear makeup on special occasions. On a daily basis, I like to go without. This had become frustrating as my face is ageing. I decided to treat myself to dermal fillers. I always go to My Cosmetic Doctor based in Harborne. At my consultation I knew that I was going to get perfection with minimal pain. On the day of my treatment, Dr. Kaur explained everything as she went along. She did this in the most caring manner. Dr Kaur started with my cheeks, then my nasalobian folds and lastly my marionette lines. The filler contains anaesthetic so there was no pain. Dr Kaur examined my whole face so that I got the best tailored outome. She took her time to understand my facial features and bone structure. I was not nervous at all because she is a doctor. Her work was so perfect and beautiful. We compared my before and after photos. My whole face looked so balanced and contoured. I now have the confidence to go without makeup when I want to. I contacted My Cosmetic Doctor after an unusual rash appeared around my eyes. It just gradually worsened each day and hydrocortisone was not helping. Not knowing what else I could do, I turned to Dr Rakhra, knowing she specialises in dermatology and through recommendation. She was so attentive, caring and understanding as to how distressing the rash was as it looked so aggravated, I couldn’t wear make up. She kept in touch with me through the day, each day until it cleared. I was given advice on what to use, what to not use and she worked with me to figure out triggers that aggravated it and possible causes. I never expected this level of care. She researched it further as it was unusual in appearance (hives and eczema like and sore, red and itchy) and also recommended I contact my GP. I sent videos and photos on her request and she diagnosed it as an allergic dermatitis, the same as my GP did and recommended the cream I should try, which I then got from my GP. This cream is amazing. Now whenever I see the first sign of a rash, I apply it for just a day and the rash does not develop. I avoid the products that we thought might aggravate it and honestly, she got me through a few weeks of distress. My Cosmetic Doctor will be my first port of call in the future.... (Show more)
