Dr Andre Nel practiced emergency medicine early in his career and went on to further train and ultimately specialise in Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr Nel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS), and a member of The International Society Of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) and The European Society Of Hair Restoration Surgery (ESHRS). Because he continually strives to achieve the best possible results for his patients he decided to learn first-hand from world leaders in the field and has trained with: Dr Bijan Feriduni in Belgium Dr Mark DiStefano in Boston USA Dr James A Harris at ISHRS FUE workshop in Denver USA 2012 Dr John P Cole at ISHRS FUE workshop in Denver USA 2012 Dr Clara Santos on Mesotherapy treatments for hair loss in Sao Paulo, Brazil Dr Zein Obagi on Skin Restoration treatments in Beverley Hills USA Dr Nel also further advanced his training by observing procedures at the practices of: Drs Ron and Paul Shapiro in Minneapolis USA and Dr William Magdalin in New Hampshire USA He considers Dr Bijan Feriduni to be his mentor and says "I am proud to be one of the few trained by Dr Feriduni, in my opinion an absolute master in hair restoration. My training and my attention to detail enable me to regularly produce the best results for my patients.". Dr Nel specialises in FUE and Combination FUE/FUT techniques. He continually keeps himself informed about the latest techniques and advances by attending conferences around the world, including ISHRS annual conferences in Boston USA, Anchorage Alaska USA, Nassau Bahamas, San Francisco USA and most recently Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. He gained yet more experience at the ISHRS FUE Technology Workshop 2012 in Denver Colorado USA. Dr Nel has a particular interest in information technology and in 2005 qualified with a Masters degree from University of Pretoria School of Business majoring in Information Technology Systems.
