Am roughly at the 18 month mark post-transplant and could not be happier with the results. Right from the first contact, the entire procedure went so smoothly. The initial consultation walked me through all details from the causes of hair loss, to designing the hair line to be restored and explaining, in depth how the procedure would be carried out. There was total transparency with the cost and how it is broken down. What sets Andre apart from the rest is that he is not a salesman. He has undergone the procedure himself and genuinely wants the best for his patients. The 2 days of surgery flew by as when I wasn’t sleeping, there was ample opportunity to catch up on Netflix!! The staff are also phenomenal. Total professionals but also really nice people. In the days immediately following the procedure, Andre took time to contact me and check in on how I was doing. I was also encouraged to send photos if I was in any way unsure and it was so encouraging to get the positive feedback in those first 10 days. Those first 10 days are crucial but you are given clear and precise instructions as to the steps needed, without ever feeling overwhelmed. I recently had a hair transplant with Dr Andre and his team and I have to say I was totally blown away by how professional he and his team are . The whole experience was first class from consultation to procedure and I can not wait to see my results over the next 12 months . I would highly recommend and advise people who are thinking of having a procedure to go for a consultation here . I unfortunately had a small procedure with the DHI clinic in the beacon which is now under a different name but run by same people and they did a terrible job which had to be rectified during my procedure with dr Nel as they had implanted hairs in the wrong direction and looked so unnatural .In terms of price don’t be fooled by clinic in Dublin that are offering low prices like I was in the beacon . Dr. Andres's professional approach is really commendable. I would really pay my regards to him and his therapist who made sure my issues were properly taken care of. I was advised Anti Dandruff treatment by her, followed up nicely and now my complete head is healthy. Happy with the complete process.

I just completed my hair transplant with Dr.Nel yesterday. From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. During the surgery the staff were very professional and had a laugh to keep me at ease. Just to re-iterate all the other reviews here - Dr. Nel is fantastic. From the initial consultation, all way through to the procedure and to the follow up consultations - it's been a pleasure and an amazing experience. It's really obvious how passionate Dr.Nel is about hair restoration and he really wants all his patients to achieve an amazing result. I was very nervous on the day of the procedure but Dr.Nel and his team were brilliant and put me at ease. It was really re-assuring and they were fantastic throughout the day. He also gives you his personal phone number - so you can text him or call him at any time with any questions you may have before or after the procedure. With regards to price - Price is extremely reasonable (especially compared with a certain clinic in Blackrock). Six weeks ago I went for a FUE hair transplant with Dr Nel. For anyone who is considering a hair transplant, a lot of thought and research goes into it. Dr Nel was recommended to me by a friend who also recently had a procedure. My experience to date with Dr Nel has been impeccable. I went for a consultation where Dr Nel talked me through the history of hair loss, what is required to maintain your existing hair and what is involved before, during and after the procedure. His level of knowledge, attention to detail and more importantly his honesty is second to none. I left the clinic after the consultation sure that a HT was the correct option for me. A month later I was in for the procedure. Dr Nel and his team explained every step of the procedure again and I was completely relaxed from beginning to end. Full credit to the entire team for their utter professionalism and excellent bedside manner. The day of the procedure was actually an enjoyable and relaxing day. The aftercare was all included and each step was thoroughly explained. Special thanks to Niall, the clinic manager, who coordinated the procedure and was on hand to answer any questions before and after the procedure. in terms of price - it is an investment but it's a lifetime one. Dr Nel is very fair with price when you compare to others in the market with zero impact on quality of service!! I can't speak to results just yet as I am only 6 weeks in. What I will say is that if you are considering a hair transplant - do your research, contact Dr Nel and go for a consultation. I cannot recommend the practice highly enough based on my experience. I am now 10 months post op and just had my check up with Dr Nel. To put it mildly, the results have been life changing! At the time of my first review I was six weeks post op and was in the middle of the ‘ugly duckling’ phase where all of the implanted hair falls out and you look worse than before you had the procedure. From doing my research and having a consultation with Dr Nel I knew this would happen so I was concentrating on the end goal and eager to see the results. I was still very happy that I had made the investment. At 3-4 months post op I could see the hairline forming with tiny hairs growing. Every week was an improvement on the last. Between 5-6 months was when I saw a real difference. More hair was growing and existing hair was getting thicker and darker. I kept noticing improvements every month when I would go for a haircut and compare pictures with the previous month. When I met Dr Nel for my 10 month post op he took some photos and compared to my pre op photos. To say I was shocked (in a good way) would be an understatement! I didn’t realise how bad my hairline and density, or lack of, was prior to the procedure. Seeing the progress and difference made me realise that the ‘ugly duckling’ phase was ancient history and I am now enjoying a healthy head of hair and decent hairline. Dr Nel reminded me that I am still only 10 months in and should see further improvements over the coming 2-8 months. I continue to follow all of his instructions on how to maintain the hair that I have – this is an absolute must if you want the results to be long-term. I want to reinforce some points made in my first review if you are thinking of getting a hair transplant: • Do your research and contact Dr Nel for a consultation. He is so thorough and explains everything from the history of hair loss, pre, during and post op care to maximise results • I cannot recommend Dr Nel and his entire team highly enough. They are complete professionals and also have an excellent bedside manner (you will appreciate this the day of the op) • Follow all of the instructions that Dr Nel gives you – this will ensure you enjoy your new hair long term • It is an investment but it’s lifetime one. I would highly recommend Andre to anyone thinking of a hair transplant. He is straight to the point, honest, cares very much about the results he achieves for his patients. Dr Nel is a consummate professional and indeed perfectionist. I had a number of consultations in both Ireland and UK, every other consultation was nothing more than a 'selling' exercise. Dr Nel's was an hour of education. He takes personal pride in his work and his clients, therefore, if a client is not prepared to look after their hair post surgery, then Dr Nel will probably reject their business. Very happy with Dr Nel. Am absolute professional who has a genuine interest in ensuring you get very positive results. My first consultation with him was over an hour and when I did have the surgery, I was very happy on how much interest Dr Nel and his team had in ensuring I had a positive outcome. I never felt ever under pressure to proceed with the surgery. Dr Nel only gives you his insight and knowledge and is very pleasant to deal with. I have known Doctor Nel for some time. He is a consummate Professional. I can't say anything other than the best natural results. Dr. Nel puts the patient first in terms of telling you what is actually possible while remaining natural. He won't just do what you say because often times you can see pictures of other clinics with patients that have hair lines far too perfect/low it looks totally unnatural. I needed Dr. Nel to explain this to me and my temples look great now too. Follow up visits are free and he also does Smalp Micropigmentation which can help it look thicker too. If you're in doubt just book a consultation and ask to see pics of his work. Another review refers to rip off prices and his manner. This is incorrect since if you are getting a ht in Ireland there is only 2 professional clinics you should consider. The other was almost double the price of Dr. Nel when I was in contact with them. With regards to his personality he's South African and so his way of speaking may be a bit blunt, but it's to the point and not waisting your time. He's a pretty nice guy too and he also gives you his number after a hair transplant to contact him in case you need to. So, if you want a hair transplant I would highly recommend Dr.Nel....
