I was on holiday in Lisbon when I needed to see an eye doctor in an emergency. I just showed up, and the nurse spoke English. She translated for me. The doctor was so accommodating and took me in without an appointment. He was extremely thorough, friendly, and reassuring. He also gave me eye drops and only charged 50 euros for the visit.
