Dermatological Clinic Openderma Reviews

My personal experience... I arrived with tattoo-stained skin because I wanted to highlight the freckles I had and get some more, my skin was a disaster, I was embarrassed to go out. With their sessions and their best advice, they give you an unbeatable face, full of light and without an imperceptible trace of those horrible marks.... (Show more)

Thank you very much for your review from the entire Openderma team. Delighted to have been able to help you with your tattoo marks and stains.

A wonderful experience: very professional and the best treatment; They advised me in detail and created a specialized treatment and routine for me. My melasma spots and pigmentation have been reducing more than I could imagine. We have started using Botox to prevent signs of aging and the result is very natural, without noticing changes in my expression, but without wrinkles or marks!... (Show more)

Hello Adriana. Thank you very much for your review. We are very happy that you have improved with the routine that we recommend and, although you are very young, we can help you prevent the effects, not only of the passing of the years, but also of the environment that surrounds us (radiation, pollution...) and, of course, always looking for a natural effect.

I went with great enthusiasm to erase a scar that they had told me that with two sessions I could improve a lot and the result of the first session was absolutely none, the only thing that I lost money, I returned to the clinic to give me some solution and the solution that They told me to pay for another session again without having seen any results in the previous one, obviously I didn't do it and so I was left with the feeling of having been robbed.... We have more than 20 years of experience treating scars with lasers and we gain nothing by deceiving a patient. A scar cannot be removed or erased, but it can be reduced, hidden and made less visible. Therefore, in your specific case, as you mention in your review, we told you that with 2 sessions you could improve. Unfortunately, you have not given us that opportunity, nor have you given it to yourself, and you have not wanted to have a second session. Looking at your before and after photos, the volume and thickness of your scar has objectively reduced by more than 30%, with just one session, which has caused us a lot of satisfaction. Scars, regardless of the cause (acne, surgery, trauma...) can be attenuated with laser or other techniques. Sometimes we achieve spectacular results and, after 3 to 6 laser sessions, almost no scar is visible. This frequently occurs in scars from breast surgery, especially in the areola and nipple, and in scars from cesarean section and abdominoplasty. We understand that you may be angry with the hypertrophic scar that was caused in another center, for a surgery whose purpose was aesthetic, but we are not to blame. We don't really know how, after explaining the process, you were able to understand that your scar was going to be erased with just one laser session. That's like going to laser hair removal and wanting no more hair to grow after a session. The skin is a very delicate thing and must be treated with both care and knowledge. Therefore, when a patient places their trust in their dermatologist, they do so because the dermatologist is the professional who best knows the skin and the professional who will best control the diagnosis-treatment-follow-up process. Good luck.

Personally, I went for a scar treatment in which they sold me that it would have very good results and after 6 peelings and 6 laser sessions, in which nothing improved and I was left with pigmentation on the skin, my experience was not good.

Agustin Guerrero Garcia - a year ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

You are right, Agustín; In the past we resorted to peels and lasers which, at the pace that science and medicine advance, have become obsolete for the treatment of old and residual facial acne scars in adults. Fortunately, medicine has advanced a lot since the last time you visited us, at the beginning of 2011. Without going any further, that same year the Nobel Prize in Medicine was awarded to Professor Yamanaka, for his studies on stem cells, whose potential of regeneration on tissues, including the skin, we use successfully on scars on the face and other areas, to treat hair loss or alopecia, and in rejuvenation or antiaging in general. We are very happy that you remember us 12 years later; You can come see us whenever you want and so we can offer you the latest, most effective technology and the latest developments in laser and growth factors for the treatment of scars, both hypertrophic and atrophic, especially acne scars (ice-pick or ice pick, boxcar and rolling or wavy). The skin is a very delicate organ and must be treated with care and knowledge. Therefore, when a patient places their trust in their dermatologist, they do so because the dermatologist is the professional who best knows the skin and the one who best manages the entire process of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, as well as the possible complications during it. Greetings

I do not recommend going to this clinic at all. I have been several times for laser for spider veins. In a session I told him that I had a spot on my face and he told me that it was solar lentigo... he asked me if I wanted to remove it and I told him yes. Unfortunately it went badly for me (the stain became much more pigmented) after 7 months I have spent €1500 on products and it does not go away. The laser is performed by an assistant, not a doctor. They haven't bothered to call me or ask me.... (Show more)

INMACULADA MANZANO - a year ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

With respect to the professionals who have treated her in our Clinic, the vascular and pigmentation laser is not performed by an assistant, but by a registered nurse or directly by a doctor of Medicine, since the doctor is the one who directs or performs the treatments. Regarding the economic issue, you may be confused, because adding the medical visit with the dermatologist in 2020 and the 4 vascular laser sessions (in 2022 and 2023) you have spent 1050 euros, not 1500. Regarding his spot, he has only had one laser session, and it cost him 100 euros. To correct post-inflammatory pigmentation, which happens sometimes and is treatable, the doctor has taken the utmost interest, and that is why she has performed 3 anti-stain peels in April, May and June 2023, at a cost of 0 euros for you, which which, is never a bother to us.

I have been going to this clinic for 8 years for various dermatological problems and I have no complaints with the treatment of doctors Martínez Escribano and Sánchez Sierra, always very professional and attentive. I have received several treatments at this clinic, all of them quite expensive but generally effective. However, the long waiting times before being seen (I have never waited less than 30 minutes, even when I arrived on time for my appointment) and the treatment by the non-medical personnel who attend to you before going to the nurses and doctors, have stopped today. So much to wish for that I have decided not to return and seek medical attention and treatments at another clinic. They kept me waiting for a whopping 55 minutes (appointed at 5:15 p.m., I was at the clinic at 5:18 p.m.), alluding to the fact that another patient who had a longer treatment period passed in front of me. This seems very good to me but tell me the time at which you are going to attend me since I have no problem with it being at 6:15 p.m. but don't keep me waiting for almost an hour, after having contacted me on several occasions this week to remind me the time and tell me to be punctual. But the best thing was at the exit where the lady who is at the checkout and giving appointments, after trying to sell me several products (which by the way I have already tried without, unfortunately, any effect), has had the indecency to give her opinion about me dermatological problem and it hasn't exactly been in a good way. I'm sorry but I won't go there.... (Show more)

Mamen Reventós Martínez - a year ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

Hello Mamen, I am Dr. Escribano. I am sorry that, in general terms, you are not happy with the treatment you received. I am answering you personally because I have been dealing with your case for years and, furthermore, you are a professional colleague. Since you have given your opinion on the cost of your treatments, I must tell you that the price is adjusted to the average market price. There are much more expensive clinics that use seemingly identical products, but they are not. I think that the most expensive thing for a patient is what does not work. In your specific case, after reviewing your history, I have seen that, since you were a medical student, we have always given you a 50% discount on your visits and, since you have been a doctor, you have not been charged for any check-ups (except one in January 2022, by mistake I suppose). Regarding wait times, we try to keep them minimal, but it is a daily struggle. Sometimes they can be our fault, but that is not always the case, as you well know. On the day of your last visit, according to the program, you were scheduled at 5:15 p.m., you arrived at 5:20 p.m. and the treatment began 45 minutes later, because another patient entered just in those 5 minutes that you arrived late. In any case, I don't want to be more right than you on this issue either. I like to respect other people's time a lot, just as I like them to respect mine. Regarding Isabel's comment that, it seems, has exhausted your patience, she only wanted to help you in some way and, sadly, apologizes if you felt upset or offended by it. Finally, the important thing is that you are comfortable and happy. Therefore, I hope that things go well for you in the new medical center where you have decided to place your trust from now on. If you want to tell me anything more about this matter, you have had my personal email for a long time, and you can use it, since the Google channel that you have used now only allows me one reply. Greetings Jorge Martínez Escribano Dermatologist Openderma Clinic Director

Response from the ownera year ago

I really have no complaints about the doctors but rather about the person who helped me when I wanted to ask for information. I called asking and making it clear 3 times that I just wanted to know if they offered a type of treatment called MiraDry. After this, they told me yes and that they would schedule an informative appointment with the doctor. I drove 40 minutes to get to the clinic and was surprised that they did NOT offer the treatment that I had requested 3 TIMES when I contacted them and they also charged me 40 euros just for going and telling me that they did not offer it but that they offered something else ( which doesn't interest me). So my advice is that the people who answer calls and WhatsApp are better informed about what is offered in the clinic to prevent clients from wasting time and money. Even so, the doctor who treated me was not surprised when I said that they had told me that they did have that treatment, which also bothered me. However, he explained well what his alternative was and was professional about it.... (Show more)

ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. I GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE YOU CAN'T GIVE LESS. I gave my mother the hyaluronic acid treatment for her birthday, which cost €1,200, since they promised her that it would be super effective and she would notice the results. My mother said yes, since Dr. B***a made her feel quite bad by removing a thousand defects (I went with her and I'm 21 years old and she started removing thousands of non-existent defects and wrinkles on my face). After that, he was encapsulated and it hurt a lot, and they didn't give him any response, the only response was to make him feel bad again so that they would prick him again, all almost forced. Apart from “forcing” him to buy a cream treatment in the store that is valued at almost €500, which, days later when looked at online, did not even cost €200 for the whole thing. We tried to return it unopened and without removing the seals and with the receipt and they told us no. PLEASE DON'T FALL INTO THE “TRAP”, THE ONLY THING THEY WANT IS TO MAKE YOU FEEL BAD AND BRING OUT THE BIGGEST POSSIBLE DEFECTS SO THAT IN THE END YOU BECOME VULNERABLE AND YOU FALL AND PAY THEM HALF A KIDNEY FOR SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T WORK. WE DO NOT REPEAT.... (Show more)

Marta Alvarez Sanchez - 2 years ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

If a face is very damaged, for example, due to advanced age and never having had anything done, more than one session of hyaluronic acid is needed, logically. Sometimes 3, 4 or more sessions are necessary. You cannot expect an optimal result if you only do one session and start with a face with severe involvement. Let's take an example: if a patient suffers from lymphoma and the oncologist prescribes 6 cycles of chemotherapy, she cannot expect to be cured with just one chemo session. And each cycle costs much more than 1200 euros; but that is paid for by Social Security, not aesthetics. Regarding the doctor, she always recommends the best to each patient. Then, with that information, each patient freely chooses what to do and what not to do.

WORSE IMPOSSIBLE, BE CAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE, TERRIBLE CARE and ZERO PROFESSIONALISM... I ask for a quote to remove a small sun spot on my face, they charge me €120/140 for the treatment... I accept and they do a laser session ( 2 minutes), they tell me that everything is ready and they charge me €120 and they emphasize that if they have to give one more session it would be 50% more (they are already breaking the agreement, they had not commented on any of that at any time, the budget was the complete treatment to remove the stain). After 20/25 days I go for a check-up and they tell me that everything is fine, contrary to what I saw, that the stain was there, they justify that it needs more healing time (there was nothing to cure) when I go the next day I had nothing about the treatment referring to any type of pain/burning in the area, nor was it red (according to them I would notice burning, scabbing, etc.). The area was and is protected from the sun. Today and after a month and a half I have the same or darker spot than before entering that clinic. They have not given me the invoice. I edit the review after reading others: It seems that what happened to me is more common than it seems in this clinic and is the "modus operandi" of these people. I reiterate, be very careful with them, I understand that there are better professionals. Read the reviews at the end (lows) and you will see cases that are worth reporting but not here... in court. In my case, I am still waiting for the invoice and full name of the doctor to later proceed with the appropriate claims. If we don't all do it, these people will continue doing the same thing. Edit, after reading your response, and with the sole intention of not confusing people. Aggressiveness none, reality! No half-truths please, your "modus operandi" is perfectly reflected in the reviews you have and of course, I will no longer step foot in your facilities, which by the way, are completely uncomfortable and without adequate accessibility conditions ( I will shortly request information from the City Council about the corresponding license that the premises have and with which you have an open business. The only thing that is certain, and also true, is that they did call me (someone at reception) to tell me that Dr. Martínez Escribano will stop by their premises to talk to me (I have never seen him in front of me, why does that individual want to talk to me?) , my answer being that you had my phone number so that he could call me personally if he wanted to talk to me because I don't know who he is, something he didn't do. They told me about the 50% for the remaining sessions after doing the first session, when I had asked them previously and not once or twice, three times if the budget was for the complete treatment (affirmative response on their part, all three times ). Your invoice was delivered after demanding it for more than a month, that is, two days ago. To this day I still do not know (after asking them on several occasions) the full names of the doctors who have treated me and their membership numbers. I INSIST, to this day this clinic has not provided them to me. This is not aggression, it is reality. Zero professionalism on the part of this clinic. The rest for their part is... BLAH BLAH and BLAH.... (Show more)

Fernando Vázquez - 2 years ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

Dear Fernando, With his aggressive words several things are clear; One of them is that he does not know us at all, partly because it is the first time he has come to our Clinic. Our "modus operandi" is none other than treating all our patients with the utmost dedication and care and assisting them in the event of any possible setback, given that Medicine is not an exact science. Therefore, surprised by his perceptions, we have called him several times to offer him an appointment so we could listen to him in person at the Clinic, with the sole purpose of completing or complementing his treatment if necessary. However, after speaking, you have flatly refused to return, without giving us the slightest option of being able to verify the supposed recurrence of your facial injury, nor of being able to treat or help you. Another thing that is clear is that, contrary to what he claims, he has not read some reviews correctly. If so, you would know that if the lesion treated with laser does not disappear in the first session, our policy is to charge 50% for the second session, and no longer charge anything for the third session, if this is necessary. This is undoubtedly what the doctor explained to him on the day of his first visit, since it is reflected in his history and documents. The PICOSECOND LASER, which is the one we use on you, is the gold standard or system of choice to eliminate both pigment lesions ("spots") and tattoos, since it is the most selective, by far, for the pigment, respecting the skin and surrounding tissues. The objective of said laser is to LEAVE NO SIGN, and for that sometimes SEVERAL sessions are needed, we repeat, so as not to leave marks or scars. These "spots" not only appear due to sun damage, but are also influenced by older age and genetic predisposition, among other factors. Finally, regarding your invoice, it is a mandatory legal document, and that is why it was issued the same day the doctor saw you and the treatment was performed. As you may be aware, this invoice was sent to you by email on the same day you requested it. Despite everything, we are at your disposal if you change your mind and decide to return and trust our professionals, since they are the ones who best know how to treat your problem, and have the best medical technology to do so.

A month ago, Dr. AMPARO PEÑA surgically removed a skin cancer caused by the sun on my head. During the surgical procedure, I did not notice any discomfort. The result of the operation has been EXCELLENT. The treatment he gave me to remove some of the shells that I had left... they have disappeared and my bald head has remained as if I had never had anything. More than five years with a dangerous problem visiting several dermatologists and doctors and none of them ever solved my problem until I found this CLINIC and this great professional to whom I will always be very grateful. !!! I made an appointment to remove a facial lesion and they told me over the phone that the price ranged between 80 and 140 euros depending on the size of the lesion. I go to the consultation, they remove it and obviously I thought that was what I had to pay for. However, they charged me 220 euros for the procedure. JESUS GUILLERMO ACOSTA VISBAL - 2 years ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

Hello Jesús Guillermo. We have already conveyed your complaint to the dermatologist who treated you this morning, and she remembered, logically, perfectly about you and your case. He tells us that you have been charged the usual rate for electrosurgery under local anesthesia for facial lesions, after making a complete differential diagnosis since, apparently, previous treatment at another center was not effective. Regarding the alleged telephone misunderstanding, the person who assists you is not a doctor and, therefore, cannot and should not know what your exact diagnosis is without seeing you and, much less, deciding which technique the dermatologist is going to decide on. effective and safe for you, since you had not yet come to Openderma. It would make no sense to charge you 80 euros if only the first medical visit with the dermatologist costs 100 euros. In any case, today you have not been charged for your first visit, because we have performed the surgical treatment. Prices from 80 to 140 do not match any of our rates; Perhaps, mentally, it was the possible supplement to the base price of a visit with the dermatologist, depending on whether you had cryotherapy, electrocoagulation with an electric scalpel or a CO2 laser treatment (in the latter case it would have cost you 250 euros in total ). We hope the treatment goes very well. And, although we always do it, we will insist on not giving prices without seeing, and on confirming estimates before finely carrying out the treatments, to improve the satisfaction of all our patients, without which we are not satisfied either.

Second review I write. I finished the treatment and after spending 450 euros plus the creams, about 200, not only do I keep the same spots but it tells me that I have new ones. Halfway through the treatment I observed and told him that I didn't see any improvement. His response was that, as he had already warned me, it depends on each skin. Nothing could be further from the truth, in the first consultation he told me that it would improve a lot if he didn't remove everything. Otherwise, as expected, I would not even have started the treatment. The conclusion at the end and verifying that it has been of absolutely no use, is that I am a woman and I live in Murcia. They still wanted to sell me more creams.... Disappointing to say the least. I hope my experience is useful.... (Show more)

The first consultation was very good. The treatment has an effect on some spots. 1 month later I have the same spots again, and they tell me that I have to go to the doctor and pay €90 for a “quick check” where they will see the same thing as the first day and perhaps the treatment will be the same. If the problem persists, should I pay for another consultation? They don't set the prices, they answer me from reception……. Basically, if the treatment does not work, you have to go back and pay again, very inconsistent…... (Show more)

Cecyarmi - 2 years ago - Review Provided by Google Maps

Hello B. We answer your questions: "...they tell me that I have to go to the consultation and pay €90 for a “quick check”. Answer: IT'S NOT LIKE THAT. MAYBE WE DON'T EXPLAIN IT TO YOU WELL ON THE PHONE. "If the problem persists, should I pay for another consultation?": Answer: NO. You should know that spot laser sometimes requires 2 or 3 sessions. Sometimes a session is definitive, but it depends on the type of stain and skin type. Sometimes, it happens like with laser hair removal, that is, a single session is not enough. The difference is that each laser hair removal session is charged. On the contrary, in the second spot laser session, if necessary, 50% is charged, if they are the same spots. And if a third session of the same stain is needed, we normally do not charge for it. This is how we usually explain it when patients are informed and the informed consent is signed. We encourage you to come. We care more about your satisfaction than your money. You can make an appointment by phone 968 22 02 02, by WhatsApp 601 603 222, by email info@openderma.com or by Instagram message @clinicaopenderma. We hope to see you again soon. Greetings.
