I have attended Coburg Dental group for more than twenty years but sadly I won’t be going back. I have, until now, always been happy with their professionalism and care. I was in pain on Wednesday and requested an emergency appointment which they kindly made for me for Friday morning at 8.00am. They texted me the details and I confirmed the appointment. When I arrived they had no record of my appointment. I showed the receptionist the text and she took a photo of it. I was sent away - although I explained I couldn’t eat and was having trouble talking. No one contacted me to say the appointment had been cancelled and when I called later that day the receptionist said they had no idea how this had happened. This means they don’t know how to prevent this. I think someone cancelled my appointment and didn’t contact me. I don’t care at all about the discount she said they had considered offering. I would really like to know what happed as it caused me some distress. I wasted a whole day before looking for another dentist as I was loyal to Coburg Dental Group. Wonderful dentist for myself and my children who had all had previous experiences with other dentists that left us fearing any treatment. Always feel calm and reassured with them. Dr Kestenberg was fantastic. He explained everything in great detail, made sure we understood everything properly and was friendly and professional. Our aftercare from our little girls Frenectomy has been exceptional, explaining every process thoroughly

Cannot recommend Dr Kestenberg enough! I had been to multiple dentists over the past 10+ years with an array of issues, including other tongue tie release providers, and was constantly told different information. Thankfully I found Dr K!! He found that I do infact have a tongue tie (which I was pretty certain of!) AND a lip tie as well! Was very informative, supportive, and a pain free procedure. Highly recommend Dr Jeffery Kestenberg for his amazing work and quick procedure to have my 3 week old daughter’s tongue and lip tie lasered. The dental staff were fantastic very informative with all questions and concerns answered to a professional high standard. My daughter required orthodontics to straighten her teeth as well as realignment of her bite. We were recommended to Coburg Dental Group. Dr Matthew Siebel was professional throughout the entire process (consultation, installation, adjustments, removal, follow up care etc). We used Coburg Dental for our sons frenectomy. The procedure itself while brutal and traumatising for both child and parent went smoothly. My one star is for the arrogance of the dentist who performs the laser procedure, he reeks of “I’m better than you” attitude and makes parents feel useless in the aftercare. If I could give 0 stars to him I would because he has 0 empathy and 0 cares. I will thank Vicky who assisted me via phone when I’d had enough of the doctor’s attitude via email. The most kind and caring dentists I’ve seen. I’m petrified of needles and they were just so wonderful, kind and patient with me through the whole procedure. They took their time to let me feel comfortable and supported through the whole process. Would highly recommend.

Great experience.i have a fear of dentists but not anymore going here. Doctor was very understanding and gentle with my teeth.

My bub had a tongue tie. I had so many breastfeeding issues at the start. I was hospitalised with severe mastitis twice. Saw a huge number of LCs. They recommended a particular specialist who cut it with scissors - it was just a quick snip & done. I thought breastfeeding would get better. It did slightly, but not much. When bub was 5 months old I was still having so many bf issues, & bub still had so much wind pain.. it was awful. Then I noticed she actually had a huge lip tie too. I can’t believe no one noticed it. So many Drs, paediatricians, midwives, LCs, RCH Drs.. no one saw it 🙄. So I took her to see a different paediatric dentist. The dentist said my bub was too old to get it lasered now as she wouldn’t be able to lay still, so I’d have to wait till she was 2 to get it cut under GA 🙄. I wasn’t happy with that answer as by then she’d have teeth, speech, & eating issues. So I took her to see Dr Kestenberg at Coburg Dental Group, recommended by other mums. He was amazing. Very thorough & experienced. He showed me my bub actually still had a huge posterior tongue tie too, as well as a tight lip tie. The other specialist had only cut the anterior tongue tie, not the posterior. Dr Kestenberg was confident, caring and very experienced. I’d tossed up getting it cut at a paediatric surgeon who had said they’d do it much cheaper using scissors. But I’m SO glad I went here instead. They were so organised. They had lots of information they give you, plus 2 post op visits included to check it’s going ok. And you can email/call anytime if concerned. They’re knowledgeable, sincere, experienced. They were so so helpful and fantastic. He used a laser, it was super quick, he cut the lip and tongue tie without issues. There was no bleeding, it was over in less than a minute. She cried, but mostly because she was away from me for a sec and held down. But she bf immediately and was totally fine afterwards. They also ensure you know how to do the post op stretches so it doesn’t heal back together again. The stretches are awful, but the whole thing was TOTALLY worth it. Now breastfeeding is a dream. And she has such a long mobile tongue now! I hadn’t realised how tied down it really was. Hopefully we’ve avoided huge orthodontic issues later on. He said 100% she would’ve had a gap between her front teeth & speech issues later on if we hadn’t done it. I 100% recommend Dr Kestenberg. It’s expensive, but completely worth it. And cheaper than orthodontics later on.... (Show more)

Thank you to Jeff & his team. A well informed and supportive experience. Our son had a lip and tongue frenectomy at 11weeks old. As parents with little knowledge we felt comfortable at the Coburg Dental Group and will reach out again if need be.

I saw Dr Kestenberg for my sons lip and tongue tie procedure. He was friendly and gave very thorough explanations which I found extremely reassuring. He displayed a genuine level of care for my situation that made me feel as though I wasn't just another number in the system. My son is now 6 months and no longer experiences any of the problems he had before the procedure (projectile vomiting, difficulty eating solids, constant nursing, frequent waking, unsettled). He feeds and eats beautifully, sleeps through the night and loves poking out his cheeky tongue! I was also impressed with how well the clinic was operating while adhering to covid precautions....
