Clyde House Dental Practice - Swindon

Horrible admin and reception staff.

I have seen Dr. Witka 4 weeks ago, he repaired a molar. today I have ring the practice because I was in pain with it. I have started calling them at 8.30 sharp and nobody answered the phone. at 9 AM a receptionist finally answered the phone and informed me that for emergency appointments I have to start ringing from 8.30... which I did it.. and she says that they were there... and also that my dentist was on Holiday and I could tried to see another one... but I have explained that I have already paid for a treatment that is causing me pain so if I book anew appointment I will need to pay again and again and again for something that is causing me more and more pain.. so... just to make story short. I have to call or be at the dentist at 8.30 in the morning begging them to book me in an emergency appointment... by the way.. and just to be fair.. Dr. Witka is an amazing dentist but unfortunately he is working for the wrong practice.. with awful customer service policies and that charge fortunes!... (Show more)

I started seeing Amal as my dentist a couple of months ago and have had several treatments. I find her to be excellent and not suffered with any issues post treatment.

Please avoid this dentist. My husband went yesterday as he had some pain. I was told by reception his private appointment would be £40 plus £12 if an X-ray is needed. He has no result. They could not diagnose anything. Then to insult more he was charged £76! I rang this morning to query this as an X-ray plus appointment should of been £52. The receptionist advised that 3 X-rays were done and they are £12 each, hence the charge. I explained at no point did anyone say that they charge per X-ray. They were very defensive saying the dentist would have advised this but this is not the case. As you cannot get an NHS dentist anymore spend your money on private treatment wisely elsewhere.... Have rung twice daily for a week to get a appointment. No one as yet has bothered to answer the phone.

I went to see Dr Nicole who was exceptional. I have a fear of dentists and I hadn’t been for a long time, my tooth was giving me lots of pain and I know I needed it out. Dr Nicole made sure that I felt comfortable and her communication was great throughout the extraction. Her professionalism and understanding were fantastic. This surgery happily made NHS appointments for June 2023 for the family back in December 2022. In June 2023, when I called 3 days before the appointment, I was told they had cancelled us! They then offered to rebook us as private clients! The appointments were due 19th June 2023, so before their NHS contract came to an end on 1st July 2023. I asked to speak to the practice manager. No one called. It seems NHS patients aren't important enough to bother with, even though they are under contract with the NHS I believe until 1st July 2023.... (Show more)

Have been seeing Dr Artur Wika at clyde house, I would guess since around 2008. A top dentist, never had an issue with his work. A true professional. I was going to Pakistan on a mountaineering expedition so needed my teeth looking at just before I went. He did what he called a quick temp filling which would last me while away. As I really needed a root canal he said. That temp filling lasted me a good 18 months before I got the root canal. A top dentist.... (Show more)

I use to go regularly to this practice and then got an email to say the dentist I see has gone fully private. When I asked if I could be seen by another dentist, they told me it wasn't possible, and that I'm no longer an NHS patient. Now have to try find somewhere else to go.

Cannot speak highly enough on my Hygenist, Anne Marie. She is so professional, friendly and proactive with dental care. Anne Marie always explains what she's doing, ensures any additional treatment is arranged and is personable.

Recently started my teeth whitening with smile white and the service has been really good from the start. When I contacted them I spoke with Hayden and he has been really helpful, his colleague has also been of help. He explained the process and kept me updated with everything. I was sent to Clyde house in Swindon for required checks. The dentist and hygienist at Clyde house Swindon was the best, very professional and made me aware of certain things that my own dentist did not. I later received and started my whitening process and everything is going well . I started to see results within 3 days using smile white. My Dental care has been with Dr Artur Witka for many years now. I have never felt anxious when my appointment was looming. Today I had a more difficult filling, Dr Artur was very calming, and explained what he would be doing. I hope he continues to thrive in this practice.

They decided of their own accord to move my dentist and the one I did have was horrendous. Broke the crown in my mouth. Told me he was able to get the rest of the tooth out, failed and horrendously destroyed my mouth. They have avoided me ever since and have since tried to blame the lack of responses and damage on 'the crisis in the NHS'. This isn't NHS this is ANIMALS. Practice Manager - Nichola is abysmal. Deregistered me for not having an appt for 2 years during covid times (I had tried to book appts but they didn’t have any available). Husband and children were still registered, but they keep cancelling NHS appts and now are trying to force NHS patients onto private plans. If you call them and select you are NHS they don’t answer, if you select private, they answer straight away. Avoid at all costs, they are unscrupulous, a shame because the dentists seem alright, but I won’t be reregistering as a private patient with them out of principle. Go anywhere but here.... As most people I hate the dentist (nobody actually likes them but we all need them) I have seen Vasela Stoynovska at Clyde House for the past 10 years and every experience has been very professional and caring! Had my teeth done by Dr Ali in September. Ali knew I was really nervous of dentists and made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. I’ve hated my teeth for years so finally plucked up the courage and went. I had my teeth whitened and composite bonding on my front 4 teeth, it was painless no needles and so simple. I’m still completely happy 8 months on and can’t thank Ali enough. I’ve recommended so many people since!... (Show more)

Just a warning. Even during a pandemic when you could get track and traced at any time they still expect 48 hours cancellation or they will charge you.
