The truth is that I do not doubt her professionalism at any time but it is true that empathy, patience with children is non-existent. I left there very upset and angry at the treatment of my son. For my part, I do not recommend her.

From the moment I met Dra Gloria Carretero at her consulting clinic in Marbella, I felt confident I had found the perfect eye surgeon to perform my lens replacement operations. She kindly explained all the options available to me, her advice was so informative that I booked my surgery for the following week. This was my situation: a lazy eye with only 20% vision (+11.25, -1.75) and another eye with 40% vision (+8.75, -0.75) and forced to have surgery of cataracts. If the operation on the “good” eye went wrong, the rest of my life was going to change for the worse. I consulted with three eye doctors, one of them recommended multifocal eye lenses and the other two monofocal lenses to guarantee, at least, good distance vision that would allow me to live a normal life without glasses. I already had that issue clear but I was missing the fundamental thing that for me was trust in the doctor. Then I was lucky that someone told me about Dr. Carretero and in her consultation she gained my trust and I trusted my eyesight in her hands. The operations were a total success and I had never put a toric lens in the “bad” eye, the size of mine and in an eye as small as mine. The reviews were perfect and when I had a question, he immediately contacted me and in his consultation he confirmed that it was an eyelash in the eye. I was a new patient to Dr. Carretero and in need of a cataract operation. Dr. Carretero examined my eyes thorougly and took time to explain the procedure to me. Having had mono vision contact lenses for many years, Dr. Carretero operated my eyes for mono vision i.e. one eye for near, the other for far. A great human team and an ophthalmology professional like the top of a pine tree. Thank you Gloria for your empathy, experience and knowledge. I know my case was complicated because my retina was very damaged after the detachment and also because of the neurological disease I have (dystonic syndrome. Meige's disease) it was difficult to assess the best surgery option and make the appropriate measurements to put a lens that would correct cataract and other added refraction problems. The result could not have been better. I have recovered my vision and my eye is much more functional. I thank you for your patience and the explanations received and also for your clinical eye to detect that some symptoms were neurological and direct help.
