I suffered from a herniated disc that was affecting my quality of life. I looked for a clinic that could offer me a non-surgical solution and found Clínica José Fontes. Dr. José Fontes, Sara and Bárbara were wonderful throughout the process. They diagnosed my illness and suggested a conservative treatment plan that involved osteopathy, acupuncture and herbal medicine. They were very attentive and supported me. They helped me recover from my pain and return to a normal life. They also gave me advice on how to prevent future problems. Dr José is a professional who is always very attentive and competent. It seeks to treat the patient in general and not just the symptom, which is what is expected from acupuncture. Very friendly, polite and welcoming people. However, after an intensive acupuncture treatment in December 2021 with Doctor José Fontes to try to help with a herniated L5-S1 disc, I didn't get any improvements.

I've felt very welcome and genuinly cared for by all people here. Instantly felt like a very personal connection, which made me feel safe. I'm so happy I've found this place while traveling in Porto. Unbelievable helpful and kind practitioner and team! They give their best to help you at a decent price

I’m on vacation and traveling but sprained my ankle. Dr. Jose Fontes was able to see me today, thanks to Katarina moving the schedule around and I was able to walk out, able to put weight on my foot that I was not able to do before the acupuncture. They were both so kind and Dr. Fontes put in a lot of care and attention to my ankle, did acupuncture followed by electric care & some blood draining with cupping. Saved my trip, thank you!!!...
