This is what Acupuncture can achieve, so this is my goal for all of my clients. The clinic space itself is very light and calm and has been established for many years. It is welcoming, clean and professional with a comfortable treatment couch that can be raised or lowered if you are finding it difficult to move.Expertise Evidence shows very strongly that the start you get in life is very influential in your future life and so I have a particular interest in the use of Acupuncture to treat women both before, during and after pregnancy and in the treatment of children. I also have interests in the use of Acupuncture to treat pain, and to support mental/emotional issues by improving relaxation and energy levels. I also have a particular interest in what best promotes the development of high level expertise in Acupuncturists and this is why having carried out formal academic research on this topic. I believe very strongly in working to the highest standards and exceed the professional standards for Acupuncture practitioners laid down by the British Acupuncture Council (the governing body for Acupuncturists). I also engage in continuous reflective practise and professional development to ensure that my clients are always getting the best from me. This process of continual improvement also keeps my work engaging and fulfilling. Training I trained for 4 years on a British Acupuncture Council accredited degree course at the internationally recognised College for Integrated Chinese Medicine. The college is one of Europe's leading colleges and is the only college in the UK to provide an integrated training in combining 5 Element and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture. This integrated training allows me to quickly and effectively treat a wide range of conditions both physical and emotional/mental. Insurance Research in the British Medical Journal identified Acupuncture as one of the safest forms of medicine with side effects being very rare, transitory and mild, but in accordance with the professional standards for the profession I do also hold full practitioner insurance with Balens Insurers.
