Dr Gordon Henderson
GDC No:53296 - BDS (Glasgow) 1979 Gordon Henderson is a partner at the practice and a graduate of Glasgow University. As an experienced and enthusiastic clinician, he has gained a reputation for his skilful and caring approach to his patients. Gordon has practiced both in Britain and abroad and as a member of The British Dental Association and Bath Clinical Society has been a supporter of Post Graduate Education in the local area. He has also helped to build the clinical team at the practice which can provide dental solutions to problems ranging from the most complex restorative cases to preventive treatments.

GDC No: 61534 BDS (Cardiff) 1986 LL M 1998, DPDS (Bristol) 2005 Peter Heard qualified in dentistry in 1986 from the Welsh National School of Medicine, having won the University of Wales “Y Geg” prize in Oral Surgery. After a year of postgraduate training in Restorative Dentistry he entered General Dental Practice in Cardiff whilst retaining a position as an Honorary Clinical Assistant in Restorative Dentistry at the Dental School of the University of Wales College of Medicine.

The service I’ve received from the Team at Circus Dental has been faultless from start to finish. Charlotte has been my treatment coordinator and she has been wonderful. She’s so kind and helpful, any questions I’ve had, she has answered in detail. I had composite bonding done with Colin in June, and I genuinely could not fault him. He is so talented at cosmetic dental work. Ive felt at ease at every appointment and the results are amazing, I’ve had so many compliments on my teeth/smile! At my first appointment, Colin listened to everything I was hoping to achieve from having composite bonding and achieved that and more, they look so natural but also perfect! The standard of care delivered byTim Harris and his colleagues was exemplary. Cannot recommend them highly enough
A root canal, successful. But a dental implant too small. Told to brush vigorously. Not that easy at dinner. Would complain direct but suspect I would just be charged more thousands. Nice surroundings, kind staff, just a bit more than rubbish, in my case.
Mr. Cowie and his team were incredibly professional. One of the best dental experiences I've ever had. Will be seeing them for all my future needs.
A fantastic practice. Victoria did absolutely everything she could to save my badly decayed tooth and she succeeded - I'm so pleased with the result. Such a professional job and really pleasant team throughout. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly.
The most impressive dental practice I have ever been to! I had three teeth that required careful treatment because they were under bridges. I was told Jon Cowie could treat them without removing the bridges. Jon treated my teeth using advanced technology, including 3D scanning. I found Jon very kind, caring, humble, and professional. I was impressed with the level of service provided. The staff were also amiable. I have received dental treatment in several countries, but this was one of a kind. Being recommended by an expert I feel that I haven’t been let down. The care is exemplary from entering the 1768 Georgian building to leaving again. They have been established since 1886 and this shows. The treatment was specialist and dauntingly technical, yet it felt 99.9% painless with no exaggerations. I REALLY hate going to the dentist, but having been to Circus Dental three times now for various reasons, I know I'm in good hands when I do have to go. I've seen Dr. McGuirk and Dr. Sinson, who were both kind, professional, and, most importantly, treated me like a person with feelings rather than a set of imperfect teeth in a mouth. I especially appreciated the time Dr. Sinson took to talk me through the pros and cons for a certain procedure - I left the appointment with a clear idea of my options and the sense that he gave me all of the information I needed to decide what was best for me. If you're a nervous or worried patient or have been traumatized by dentistry in the past and can afford to go private (despite the beautiful location, the fees are very reasonable), I definitely recommend Circus Dental.... Two of my front teeth have been through the wars over the years following an accident, and just as I feared their time might finally be up, my dentist thankfully referred me to Jon Cowie at Circus Dental. Having endured several rounds of invasive treatment in the past, to say I was a nervous patient is an understatement. But Jon and his team were fantastic; from the first appointment, I knew I was in very good hands. I was made fully aware of all the options and guided through every stage by a team who were always friendly and reassuring. A really, really good clinic with great staff. Had a few visits seeing Dr McGuirk and Dr Cowie and both have been great. Just as mentioned in other reviews, you notice the staff takes time to discuss and provide useful insights. I felt that the staff has a genuine desire to help patients and I thus trust them. I have been provided with many pages of documentation on the proposed treatment with alternatives, pros and cons, and prices. The docs are well written and easy to follow. Email communication is the norm. It's also hugely useful to be able to be in close touch with treatment coordinators who respond fairly quickly and I also give me a sense of sincere desire to be helpful (and have been very gentle and kind every time I spoke to them). What's also hugely useful to me is that they have world class experts on various subjects under the same umbrella (no need to be referred to some other clinic for endodontics who provide microscopic treatment before setting up a crown, for instance). In terms of the tech stack, it's also pretty much the latest gear one may need (microscopic endodontics, 3d oral scans for restorative dentistry, CBCT scanner for 3D X-ray and so forth). This makes a huge difference compared to a standard dentistry. It may take a while to get a time with certain dentists due to the busy schedule (they can in the practice or travelling to teach), but it's absolutely worth the time waiting. It also feels really good that you get a treatment from someone who has passion in their work (given they teach others and visit other centers to learn themselves). Can't recommend any higher.... I can't recommend this dentist highly enough, I don't like going to the dentist at all but the genuine frendlyness from every member of staff that I spoke to really made me feel safe and welcome, a real credit to all the staff for there impeccable coustemers service and care. All of the rooms I went in Inc the reception and waiting room were very clean and tidy and they were following all of the social distancing and sanitation procedures put in place by the government. I cannot recommend this Practice highly enough. I was referred by my local dentist and I’m so glad I was! The service I have received from Richard Condon and dental nurse Charlotte has been impeccable from the start. I was naturally very nervous about having a root canal but I have to say thanks to their friendly, informative and professional approach any worries were soon diminished and sure enough I had a completely pain free treatment! I avoided the dentist for a good 7 years as I hated my old one. Finally decided it was time to get my teeth checked and visited Circus Dental. Absolutely wonderful dental practice and Jonquil was lovely. Everything was explained to me as it was being done and I learnt a lot about taking care of my teeth.
