About Calendula Ayurvedic and Medical Clinic - Siofok Calendula was founded in 1991. Our aim is to integrate alternative medicine, which is slowly gaining acceptance and a degree of respect within Hungary, with modern medicine. The Institute utilises Ayurvedic, Unani and Chinese medicine, adapting them to the European lifestyle and physiology. We place great value on the original sources of Ayurvedic, Chinese, Tibetan and Unani medicine, while applying what we have learned from the universities of the world. In our Clinic both Eastern and Western medicine are practised. We combine the old and the new and by doing so are able to deliver holistic treatment to all our patients. Our excellent doctors and well-trained therapists, who come from all over the world, represent the intertwining of East and West. We have chosen the best therapists from Hungary, Latvia, Ukraine, Nepal and India who treat both body and spirit. Our practitioners not only diagnose and treat conventional Western ailments, but also those identified by Ayurvedic medicine. With our expertise, we accompany our patients on their psychological and physiological journey to recovery. We bring our extensive knowledge of the two branches of medicine to everything we do, so that both body and soul may recover. Our Institute combines modern medicine, primarily with Ayurveda. The advantage of this approach is that it is holistic, treating the whole body not just the symptoms of a particular condition. Holistic medicine treats every person as an individual, not as a set of symptoms. Man is not only a body but also a soul. This does not mean we discount modern medicine, on the contrary it is a top priority for us, particularly in the area of diagnostics and emergency medicine. We have an advanced surgical department in which our qualified surgeon works, and where conventional medicine is primarily used. Although we have attained the goals we set out to, we are not resting on our laurels, far from it, we are always looking for ways to improve the service we provide to our clients. To this end, we have established a small factory where we manufacture pharmacalogical products based on Ayruvedic medicine. These are dietary supplements, which we, as doctors recommend to our patients or to those indivuduals who wish to avoid developing conditions in the future - preventative medicine.
