Dr Richard Olive
He graduated from Dentistry with Honours in 1975 and completed his Masters in Orthodontics in 1979. On graduating he became a lecturer in Orthodontics at the Dental School and in 1981, joined the Brisbane Orthodontic Group. He has published on epidemiology of malocclusion, unerupted 3rd molars and has submitted papers recently on impacted canines and post treatment stability. He lectures to dental and orthodontic meetings in Australia and overseas. Links to Rick's publication can be obtained by contacting the practice.
Dr Glenn Staples
He graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in dentistry in 1981 where he received the Mary Moffat Memorial Prize for Undergraduate Orthodontics. He completed his Orthodontic Masters Degree in 1986 and received the First Research Award from the Australian Society of Orthodontists in 1987. Glenn joined the Brisbane Orthodontic Group in 1987 and has since served on various state and federal Orthodontic Executives and Committees. Presently he is an Honorary Post Graduate Clinical Supervisor at the UQ Dental School Orthodontic Programme.
Dr Roland Hammond
He completed a Bachelor of Dental Studies in 1987 before graduating in Dentistry with Honours from the University of Queensland in 1989. He returned to the University and completed his Masters in Orthodontics in 1996. On graduating, Roland spent two years in Specialist Orthodontic practice in London before returning to Brisbane. In 2000 he joined the Brisbane Orthodontic Group. Roland is a Past President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists (Queensland Branch).
Dr Andrew Mackenzie conducted my orthodontic treatment and I couldn’t be more impressed. In my initial consultation he was thorough, informative and explained to me in laymen's terms my diagnosis and the entire process. Through the 2 year process Dr Mackenzie and his team took thorough care of me, fitting me in when I needed to reschedule due to work commitments and worked seamlessly as a team at every appointment. Fantastic service. I can't recommend this organisation enough. I had adult braces, it wasn't the best fun but I was supported throughout and the customer service was second to none.
Request for on line appointment never responded to. They are unwilling to accommodate early or late consultation appointments. Very inflexible. People have lives (jobs or university) and you are not the only practice in the city. Will take my money elsewhere.
This orthodontist is amazing. When travelling to Brisbane from interstate, my son developed an orthodontic problem which they were able to fix rapidly and they showed so much care and empathy for our situation. Would highly recommend these guys. We are especially thankful to Dr Andrew Mackenzie. The receptionists and Ashleigh were also fantastic.... (Show more)
Fixed up my wonky champers with braces which was a bit scary being older, but the team was really helpful, professional and lovely. Dr mackenzie is a champion (and all the assisting staff members). Also wanted to say I super appreciated the honest and clear communication with possible treatment options and that Dr mackenzie asked what I was looking to correct - it was nice to be on the same page about having "natural" looking teeth rather than overly manicured teeth. If you are looking for an Orthodontist, reconsider this clinic. Very disappointed with my experience there, the results was not that I expected. They keep to invite me for appointments in their convenient time, not flexible. After the treatment these appointments are pointless and they just collect data on their work, so you will get nothing from that, every time you come they take pictures. Dr Elizabeth Fisher is my orthodontist for my Invisalign braces. I'm very happy with the result, she's very knowledgable and has a great eye for detail. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend this practice.
Highly recommend Dr Steve Scott and the team at Brisbane Orthodontics. I recently completed an Invisalign treatment and couldn't be happier with the end result. Dr Scott and all the staff provide excellent dental care and customer service as well as being a family friendly practice.
I had an immaculate experience from start to finish! Amazing team providing exceptional customer service. Can not fault anything. I would recommend Brisbane Orthodontics, especially Dr Roland Hammond to anyone, I got my braces off yesterday and couldn’t be happier.
Orthodontist lied about guaranteeing work. Went back and he retired... and along with him so did the guarantee. Ripped off another $1000. Need adjustments again now and again more money. Don't trust this business.

Could not give high enough praises. We’re honestly amazing. Not my regular ortho but needed help with my wire. Women was beyond lovely and got it all fixed for me. Honestly wish this was my ortho for the 4+ years I had braces.
Thank you Dr Andrew Mackenzie and team for changing my mouth and my life in only 20 short months! I attended Brisbane Orthodontics on referral from a friend, just under 20 months ago, for a consultation and today I smile proudly and chew like never before. From the initial consult Dr Mackenzie displayed he was personable, extremely knowledgeable and clearly communicated the process and road ahead. At each adjustment visit, his team were extremely welcoming, professional and where appropriate light hearted. I cannot stress enough, the quality of this mans workmanship! I will miss my regular appointments with these guys but will be back with my children in the future I'm sure. really disappointed in my treatment here of Invisalign and braces. Seems as though drs here are more interested in getting as many patients in and out of the door as possible rather than making sure their patients are satisfied and happy with the outcome. I have concerns with the positioning of my teeth and was told repeatedly that they were fine and it was the shape of my teeth. I should have got a second opinion sooner. I had the wire retainers put on at the end and after a couple of months the wire started bending and I could feel the pressure on my teeth. I went in and the nurse said they were fine but I insisted it wasn't and she was annoyed to have to remove them as was the dr I was seeing. The new retainer was put in place which starts at the top of my teeth on one side and ends at the bottom on the other. Its extremely annoying but honestly I just wanted to be done with them. I also had to ask for a plastic retainer to wear at night months later which should have just been organised for me at the end of my treatment before my teeth had started to move. I also have developed a slight gap in-between my front two teeth which I mentioned to my dr who responded with "yeah I can see that". Towards the end of my treatment I felt like a nuisance, I asked for braces to be put on because the Invisalign treatment wasn't enough to correct my teeth and even then my Dr didn't think it was needed. My orthodontist was not at all concerned with how i felt about the outcome nor did he ask if I was happy with the results. Lesson learnt not doing my research before investing a lot of money into this hopefully this helps future customers looking into having work done here.... (Show more)
Dr Hammond and his team is very friendly and professional. I heard a lot of good review from friends , that’s why I chose them over other Orthodontists. I am glad that I chose the Invisalign over the traditional braces. With the Invisalign, you won’t miss out on social life and people hardly noticed it. I guess one of the “side effect” of Invisalign is “WEIGHT LOSS” . I lose 8-10kg during the treatment and it helped me to cut down on soft drinks and snacks between meals .... Perfect teeth and losing weight at the same time !!! Couldn't be happier ^^... (Show more)
I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY NEW SMILE!!! Dr Hammond and all of the staff at Brisbane Orthodontics are magicians! I had braces for 2 years and throughout the whole process - even though sometimes my nerves got the better of me - Dr Hammond and the team did everything to make me feel comfortable and confident. Today I had my braces taken off and I am so unbelievably happy with the result. I literally could not have imagined that it was going to look this good! It has changed my whole appearance. I had a great experience here a few months ago. I had my braces off years ago and the wire on the back of my teeth came unstuck (from another orthodontics practice). Brisbane Orthodontics got me in straight away (my original orthodontics office offered me an appointment in 3 weeks time). As well as this, they stuck it back on for free! I was so happy - my usual orthodontist quoted me $450 to glue it back on. Really enjoyed my experience here, would recommend it to anybody... (Show more)

We are very pleased with the wonderful result of my son's teeth and the caring staff who made all the different processes required as comfortable as possible over the up to two year process.
