If you want to wait 1 hr for a routine skin check appointment this is your place. I was an established patient so there was no paperwork or insurance holdup. My appointment was with the nurse practitioner, Bonnie. Do not go here if you have anything else scheduled for that day. Your time is not valued.
Last time i'll see LouAnn Heckman. She does not consider the time a patient has been waiting to get an appointment. It could be months. I expect the doctor to examine my skin while I'm there. she just comes in and starts freezing. I took time off work for this.
I called them and asked if they take my insurance. They said yes. I gave her my insurance card Information and made an appointment. When I first arrived the front staff member called and confirmed they take my insurance before she let us finish signing in Once again they said they take in I had two appointments at their office and two appointments with other places they required me to see and had blood work before they suddenly decided to tell us they don't take my insurance On the phone they said since it was their mistake they will eat the cost However when I went in there to pick up my file that was supposed to be ready (it wasn't), the front staff was incredibly rude and demanded we pay. After waiting patiently in the waiting room for the main staff to get off their "lunch break" we were told that they refused to talk to us. My dad and I remained calm and didn't raise our voice. They spoke to us in all lies and attitude The lack of accountability from them was insane. We now have a bill for 300 dollars for just one few minutes long appointment where I wasn't even treated. They also falsely document events and fail to document events to their advantage. I am not confrontational and I've never written one negative review for any of the 100 of doctors that I've seen I just wanted to warn all of you because this is just the tip of the iceberg of our negative experience.... I cannot express how grateful I am to have found a dermatology group down here that I can feel confident in. Luann and the whole staff have been incredibly welcoming, but more importantly effective with treatment and information.
This is a top notch office with an excellent staff from the front office to the back. I’m grateful for Lou Ann and her ability to know just what the best action is to take, especially dealing with precancerous actinic keratosis. I highly recommend Bay Dermatology!
If I could give 20 stars I would! Super easy to schedule an appointment, ALL staff are friendly and helpful, and I never have a long wait time. I have been seeing Lou Ann Heckman for many years and she is amazing along with her staff! Lou Ann Heckman is always attentive and I always feel so much better after my appointments since I know that I'm getting the best care from the best team. Remarkable results and with having very sensitive skin, I'm in the best care with Lou Ann and her staff!!!!... (Show more)
Was a little disappointed in the end. Initially my appointment was with the dermatology practitioner (not sure that is her title). I have keratosis on both arms. She told me if I get the blue light treatment all of the redness and red marks would go away. I had 2 treatments. The prep for both treatments was different. The girl "Z" was amazing. She wrapped my arm with plastic for the waiting period where the other girl did not. The doctor Kristin Witfill comes in very quickly to scrape the spots and leaves. It just feels like no personal time at all. Went for my follow-up and I asked her how long will it take for the spots to go away. She told me they will never go away that they are only treated. I was beside myself because I was looking forward to them going away as I was told initially. It would just be nice if the proper information was given to me so I would not be so disappointed and if the preparing processes were the same coming from the same office. Dr Miller has been my doctor for 22 years, he is at the top of his game. He has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable in his field. His assistant, Z, helped me to feel calm during a skincare procedure. Her energy is very Zen and I’m happy she was there to hold my hand, literally. 👍🌸 …
I recently had Mohs surgery for basil cell carcinoma, on my forehead. I was very apprehensive because of the location of the surgery and potential for scarring. Dr Witfill was recommended to me and I could not be happier with the outcome. It's only been a few weeks and you can barely see the scar on my forehead. Outstanding work! Dr Braunlich is a real gem. She is very caring, understanding, and helpful. My issues haven't been 100% resolved yet, but she has helped my manage them and I'm thankful she listens to and respects my concerns. Only concern about the practice is that I'm usually waiting past my appointment time, but that's forgiveable for the service I receive.... (Show more)
I have had sensitive skin all of my life. Tosha has been taking good care of me for over 12 years. I get compliments all of the time and people can't believe that I am in my sixties. Tosha is the greatest. She not only listens ... she hears! Over the years she has help guide me so that I can look and feel my best. She is <$_2>. Tosha is a truly beautiful person inside and out.... Dr Witfil is excellent.....I highly recommend the entire staff and have sent several friends to her and always get good reports and thank yous from anyone I refer.....
As an attorney I did my research. Do your research! These folks are simply the best.
Dr Witfill is thorough and professional. She takes the time to answer any questions or concerns and treats each patient with respect and care taking the time necessary to address any and all concerns. The Moyes surgery she performed on my nose was masterful. A year later it looks wonderful.
Cannot say enough good things about Dr Witfill and her entire staff. Have seen many dermatologist in the past few years. None of them have ever spent the time and shown the interest that these people display. Happy to have a Dr and group that are so dependable. My confidence in these people is Five Star!!
