Everyone at the BMI Clinic is supportive, caring and understanding. You could not ask for a better support system for your journey. I had never been in hospital prior to having my bypass surgery. I came to see Dr Andrew Kiyingi last year 2022 to discuss my weight problem and from the start he has been very supportive and had my surgery on the 3d of March 2023. After a bad experience with another surgeon I was referred to Andrew Kiyingi by my GP, after explaining everything clearly I was able to make the greatest decision of my life. My energy levels are back to how they were two decades ago and my weight is rapidly going in the same direction. I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and support provided by Nicola, Dr. Kiyingi, and their dedicated staff. I was left with a bleak situation after a disappointing experience with another clinic, but Nicola's compassion and Dr. Kiyingi's commitment to accommodating my needs in a challenging circumstance have left a lasting impression. Their transparency and honesty in managing expectations, coupled with their thorough and caring approach, set them apart. Dr. Kiyingi's surgical expertise exceeded all my prior experiences, resulting in minimal pain, no nausea, impeccably precise incisions and closures (perfectly preserving the alignment of my cut-through tattoo), and was accompanied by personal visits by Dr. Kiyingi during my hospital stay, including over the weekend. BMI Joondalup has great service, Office Manager Nikola is very friendly and helpful, reception staff very easy to talk too as well. Dr Kiyinigi listened to my needs and explained everything to me so that I could understand what the procedure entailed. Had my sleeve done on 27/4/23, he is very thorough on explaining what he has done and what to do when returning home. 2nd surgery 5/10/23 for gallbladder, same excellent service.... (Show more)

In November 2021 I made an enquiry online about Bariatric surgery, I was so nervous about the process and what steps I would have to go through but I knew I needed help. From my first interaction everyone at the BMI Clinic was so helpful and supportive, they made the process as painless as possible (which as an eater, changing your diet and cutting portions was a hard road). I had my surgery early in 2022 with Dr Kiyingi and the team at the BMI Clinic have continued to be supportive and make me feel like I can approach them with any issue or query; which is not something I have ever experienced with medical professionals in the past. From the very beginning of my journey Nicola and the beautiful ladies at the BMI clinic have been beyond amazing. I had my surgery through BMI Joondalup with Dr Andrew Kiyingi on the 30 March. Firstly Dr Kiyingi is thorough and meticulous. Although the process was extremely frustrating as I was self funding, and had to organise all the quotes myself, the process was made much easier by the amazing help of Nicola. Nicola is an absolute gem and the company is lucky to have her on board. It’s not just Nicola though. All of the staff from the lovely ladies at the front desk, to Dr Conradi, Kerry Anderson the dietician and of course Dr Kiyingi have been fantastic. It’s a complete care set up and I’m exceptionally happy with the service provided by BMI Joondalup thus far. If you’re thinking about it and looking for the right place, look no further, you’ve found it. I definitely recommend them. Nicola and the team offered a personalised, friendly service which I found comforting (I was quite nervous as this was my first major surgery), the team were with me through every step. Dr Kiyingi is meticulous and takes a lot of pride in what he does. I felt safe and knew I was in great hands. I am exactly one week out of surgery. No pain, no reflux, zero nausea, drinking fluids with ease. I’m out socialising a bit while still following the post surgery program. A fantastic experience!
