Dr Sonya Tran
Sonya graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 1996. She has worked in private practices on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Sonya takes the time to explain your treatment, answer your questions and addresses any concerns you may have. She has a conservative, non-invasive and preventive approach to dental treatment whenever possible. She has a flair for cosmetic dentistry and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She has always worked in family practices and is great with adults and children alike. Sonya is very appoachable and friendly and you will be comfortable with Sonya’s gentle chairside manner.
Dr Halim Kuthubutheen
Halim graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia in 2002. Halim enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He believes in communicating and working closely with patients to develop a plan of action that they understand to comprehensively suit their dental needs.
Ms Jenny Warrender
Jenny is our delightful, friendly, down to earth practice manager and assistant. You will feel welcomed from the very first time you step through the door. Jenny has a genuine concern for our patients and will endeavour to deal with any questions and concerns you may have.
Ms Casey Mitchell
Casey is one of our lovely dental assistants and receptionists. She is currently completing her Certificate 3 in Dental Assisting and absolutely loves learning about the dental industry. Casey loves interacting with her patients and ensuring that they receive the very best dental care and service
I would highly recommend Bardon Smiles for anyone. Sonya was extremely friendly and very good to chat to. The atmosphere was great and I felt completely comfortable throughout. During your appointment, you can tune into TV with screens on the roof which is a very nice touch.

Bardon Smiles has been my regular dentist for the last decade or more. I drive a considerable distance to experience dentistry of the finest standard. Halim and his team are faultless and Halim's skills are second to none. No challenge has been too great, he has achieved outstanding results others in his industry would not have attempted and some have failed. Called to make a booking, they didn’t have anything for 1 month for my chipped tooth and have damaged gum that needs clean so I booked in. The next day they called to say they had a cancellation that day. I drove over 1 hour to get there, changed around all my afternoon appointments then when I got there reception lost my notes and told me they couldn’t do the full clean and filling. Just the filling, I have majo pain and need the clean but they said I would have not come back because she forgot. I begged for them to fit it in but they said they couldn’t confirm they would. Bardon Smiles is by far the best dentistry I have ever been to. The entire team is amazing. I go in for everything, but was even more impressed (and grateful!) for this great team during a recent wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Sonya is so skilled and comprehensive, but always makes me feel entirely comfortable. Ruby, the dental nurse/assistant, was also so professional, skilled and kind. And the reception staff are always beyond helpful and friendly. The practice is always running on time and working out the finer details of scheduling and quotes is made extremely easy. At 68 I've visited a lot of dentists but Barron smiles and Halim are the most professional and caring. I have 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren and they and their families all attend as does my 95 year old mum in-law. Well done.
I have been putting off dental work for years. I got in a pickle last week and needed urgent work done, the team at Bardon Smiles got me in the next day and had me in for my tooth removal a few days later. I pick what I want to watch, put on the headphones, turn up the volume and try to forget where I am. The staff are great and very friendly and considerate.
I recently had all 4 wisdom teeth out and was absolutely petrified. The team made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Dr Sonya is the best dentist I’ve ever had, she’s a fantastic dentist and should be recognised for her great work. Every time I go to the practice I’m always greeted by a smile and the dental assistants are also so friendly. Would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Bardon Smiles.
