Dr Than Aung
M.Sc. (London) GDC No. 70296 Than has worked at a private dental practice in Wimborne for the past 20 years before joining Avenue House in December 2014. Than qualified in 1985 at the Institute of Dental Medicine, Rangoon, Burma. He obtained an M.Sc. in Endodontic (root filling) from Eastman Dental Hospital, University of London in 1993. Than likes to have a good professional relationship with his patients and to provide dentistry in a relaxed and gentle manner.

I have had a fear of the dentist since a bad experience at another dentist. I decided to switch to Avenue house and am so glad I did. Than was amazing and has totally helped me regain my confidence. The ladies on reception were lovely and very helpful. Very glad I made the switch. Thank you! 😀 …
Than and the nursing team are all brilliant, kind reassuring and knowledgeable clinically and humanly. Debra also provides fantastic care as a hygienist. Always been happy with the outcomes of my provided healthcare. Recently contacted by a receptionist who has led me to leave and source another practice - On this experience alone. Maybe some more training in customers services. I am going through the process of having orthopaedic treatment which would have seen me regularly attending the practice… I feel sad to have to leave from this but I am unwilling to be spoken to how she did. Dr Shideh was fantastic - very friendly and reassuring. She did such a good job fixing my troublesome tooth. I didn't even feel the injection! Highly recommended.

Very friendly but professional care from Shideh. Recently had a crown fitted and no problems. Explains options, explains findings on x-rays and let's you decide whether to act or leave and monitor.
Excellent service in a very professional manner. I was particularly impressed with Deidre the hygienist who was extremely conscientious and detailed. More so than any other hygienist I have encountered previously.
