Prof. Necdet Üskent, graduated from Ankara University Medical School. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Ankara GATA Medical School. He has done his clinical fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology in the USA, Dallas, Texas. He took part in the Bone Marrow Transplantation team that performed the first transplantation in Turkey. At different times and for long terms, he served as visiting lecturer at Westminster Hospital Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Royal Free and University College Hospital, in London UK, and at Basel Cantone Hospital in Switzerland. Passing the exam organized by European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), he obtained the European Medical Oncology Certificate. Being one of the 7 founding members of The Turkish Society of Medical Oncology, Prof. Üskent was also a founder of Turkish Oncology Group (TOG). After serving as director of Istanbul GATA Medical Oncology and Hematology Clinics for 13 years, Prof. Üskent later worked as a lecturer – professor at Kadir Has University (Bilim University), Medical School, Internal Medicine Clinic. He also served as medical oncology and hematology specialist and lecturer at Florence Nightingale Hospital, a hospital-associated to the university. Prof. Üskent who started to work at Anadolu Medical Center, Medical Oncology Clinic in 2005 has been working as a medical oncology and hematology specialist and also director of medical oncology at Anadolu Medical Center since 2010. In 2004, he completed Applied Flow Cytometry training at Istanbul University (DETAE), in 2005 Basic Epidemiology Course in GATA, in 2009 and 2017, he completed the Ethical Approach in Clinical Research courses organized by the Ministry of Health General Directorate of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy. In 2007, he was appointed as Assistant Professor. In 2011, he received the title of Associate Professor. Between 2012-2017, he served as Head of Medical Oncology Section of Internal Medicine Department of GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital. He became a full professor in 2017 at Istanbul Okan University. Between 2017-2019 he worked as the Head of Internal Diseases Department at Istanbul Okan University, Faculty of Medicine. He also served as the Head of the Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology Departments and Chair of the Medical Ethics Committee. Dr. Bülent Karagöz is married and has one kid. Dr. Taner Özdemir completed his medical education at GATA Faculty of Medicine and his specialty training at the Orthopedics Clinic of the same faculty. Recruited by Anadolu Medical Center in 2013, Dr. Özdemir still works as an orthopedist and traumatologist since. Prof. Dr. Hale Başak Çağlar was born in Ankara on March 29th, 1975. She completed her primary and secondary education at TED Ankara College in between 1981-1992. She completed her education at the Faculty of Medicine / Gazi University in between 1992-1998, and finalized her specialization education at the Radiation Oncology Department / Marmara University in between 1998-2003 with her thesis, titled “Acute skin and pulmonary radiation toxicities in breast cancer patients treated with radiotherapy in the adjuvant setting”. She worked at the Brachytherapy Unit / Radiation Oncology Department / Faculty of Medicine / Hacettepe University in 2003; at the Radiation Oncology Department / Faculty of Medicine / Marmara University in between 2003-2009; at Harvard Joint Committee / Dana Farber Cancer Institute / Brigham and Maternity Hospital, Harvard University in between 2006-2007. She served as an Assistant Professor at the Radiation Oncology Department / Faculty of Medicine / Marmara University in between 2008-2010, and in the Faculty of Medicine / Acıbadem University in between 2010-2013. While she served as the Chairwoman and Program Director at the Radiation Oncology Department / Faculty of Medicine / Medipol University between 2013-2015, she further served thereat as the Chairwoman, Program Director, and Professor until 2017. Having started working at the Anadolu Medical Center in 2017, Prof. Dr. Çağlar has been going on serving as a radiation oncology specialist and radiation oncology director since then. Nazmi Yalçın İlker, the Professor, received his medical education in Turkey. He worked as a lecturer at Marmara University between 1988 and 2011. He specialized in endourology. In 1994, he became a professor of urology. He served as the president of the surgical sciences department for 5 years. During the years he worked at Marmara University, he took part in the establishment of the foundation hospital of the university and served as an administrator for 6 years. Prof. İlker who started to work at Anadolu Medical Center in 2005 as a urologist has been serving as urologist and director of medical services at Anadolu Medical Center since 2012.
