Dr Allen Gaon
Allen is married to Bernice (one of our practice Hygienists) and has 3 children, Joshua, Rachel & Jonathan. Allen qualified at Guys Hospital in 1989 and has spent most of his professional life in Amersham.Allen enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry particularly cosmetic and endodontic therapies. His favourite past times are cricket, playing and watching, and has recently taken up the hobby of Latin and ballroom dancing (please don’t ask him about this, it’s not going so well!).
Dr Anne Dow
Anne graduated from Dundee in 1997. Prior to joining the team at Amersham Dental Care, Anne gained 15 years experience in cosmetic and private family dentistry in the Edinburgh area. Anne likes to put her patients at ease and feels that dentistry should not be an anxious experience.
Dr Manish Patel
BDS (ULond 1999), MFDSRCS (Eng), MClinDent (Prosthodontics), MRDRCS (Eng) Specialist in Prosthodontics Manish Patel graduated from King’s College Dental Institute in 1999. In 2008 he received a Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics with distinction and the UCL Dental School Commemorative Prize in Prosthodontics for clinical and academic excellence. He completed the Membership in Restorative Dentistry examination by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009 and was entered into the Prosthodontics Specialist List. Manish has continued to work at the Eastman Dental Institute as a part-time Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Prosthodontics Unit. Working alongside experienced clinical, academic and laboratory staff, he is involved in teaching post-graduate dentists on the various restorative dentistry training programmes.
Ricky is the best dentist EVER! I am absolutely terrified of the dentist so avoided it for years. If you are an anxious person or nervous of dentists this place is honestly a must. He was so kind and chatty. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed in and out with no idea what was happening or why. He explained everything in terms I could actually understand and put me so at ease, which I honestly didn’t think would be possible. I had to have 2 fillings with injections which I was booked in for very quickly with Ricky. He kept the mood upbeat the whole time and not once did it ever feel like I was in a medical setting! He explained every tool, even showed me them on my hand so that the noise made sense and wouldn’t spook me! I honestly would never go anywhere else now. This is a very big Thankyou to Dr Allen Gaon who resolved my terrible pain with toothache after a thorough examination and assessment. I can’t believe after three nights of wearing a tooth/gum shield I have not had a single problem. Honestly it’s such a relief…..Thankyou!

I have been struggling with major bone loss for more than ten years and as my dentist moved to this clinic I followed him so I can continue to be his patient. I also had a major trauma recently and I have received the utmost compassion and care from this dental clinic. Great staff and service. I truly, recommend this clinic.

Knowledgeable, polite, friendly, clean, welcoming, punctual -- what more do you want from a dentist? Didn't have any work done this time (check-up, thanks Ricky), but I was impressed with the smoothness and professional feel of the whole process.
Have been a patient for as long I can remember but have become really unimpressed with the amount of times my appointment has been cancelled. 4 times recently!

The hygienist does her utmost to sell products and services to you, so be careful because she gets angry when you refuse. She must be on a big commission!!

I went to visit the dentist Dr Dhillon. I was a very nervous patient. He was very reassuring and helped me in really overcoming this fear. He explained all aspects of treatment clearly with the aid of photography. I am so happy with the care I received.
Awful treatment received from this practice regarding the care for my elderly mother and sister with learning difficulties. The receptionist is rude, unhelpful and highly unprofessional. Stunned at the lack of care, empathy and compassion from what is supposed to be a caring profession who have now deregistered them from the practice instead of actually dealing with the presenting complaint.... Great bunch of people at this practice. Needed to book in here when away for work. Able to offer appointments quickly, service and treatment was excellent. I would highly recommend Dentalcare Amersham.
It specifies on the website that a Routine examination is £35. I had a 10 minute Routine examination, and was charged £65! Called back to complain and was told "Oh the website is wrong, it was never £35". False advertising and potentially illegal. Shame as the dentist was very nice and professional. I would suggest to go elsewhere however as you never know what they might charge you... (Show more)
