Don’t go to this hospital. The staff is rude. They make you pay huge amounts with no invoices or billing. In the two days my husband was there first in ER and then ICU I saw two other American families have the same issue as I did. Extremely high fees for inadequate care. In two days I sent $15,000 for his two others of care. They said he needed an operation that would cost $100,000 up front which I didn’t have. When I told them I had arranged for medical ambulance to the US with my insurance. They stalled using several tactics like not answering the home. I had two major hosptial in Houston and one is Miami that would accept him as an International transfer. Both hospitals called me the day before scheduled transfer saying they could reach anyone at Amerimed to be able to speak to the doctor in order to know my husbands current medical situation so that they could be fully prepared to transport him. I asked politely to the Amerimed staff and then realized the only way I was going to get what I needed was to raise hell with them which I had seen two other families do. They finally consented but then when I said transportation was arranged and that he needed to stay 1 more night and would be transported the next day. They said it would be $18000 up front to stay the night. I did t have that so they transferred him to Cancun general. He was in septic shock and when he arrived in Miami the next day the hospital said his blood pressure was life threatenly low. I fully believe my husband would have died if he had not gotten out of Amerimed. ... (Show more)
Very good service recommended
I 100% recommend the Amerimed hospital for the professionalism of its staff, doctors, patients, from the first moment they are very friendly, attentive, the nursery and pediatrics area, the patients are super friendly and attentive to the babies, they are all professionals and They give you the attention you deserve, they always show up with you, Public Relations staff attentive at all times in case you have questions and to know how your attention is going, without a doubt an excellent place... Very good experience and I have previously been to two other hospitals in Cancun and here I felt more at home thanks to the cordial attention of the staff.
They give terrible service in the afternoon. It can't be that they don't have the staff to care for patients in radiology and that they want to charge you more for making a film in admissions and what's more. The bosses they have are rude and despotic, they are insensitive and rude, their hospital is rubbish, I hope they pay attention to their number of staff.... (Show more)
If you are traveling to Cancun and you have a medical emergency, do not hesitate... Go to AMERIMED A welcome from ER Team care,...fast and courteous with service in our language which is French. Special thanks to Irazu for your translation and for being there with us all the time to make sure the information was understood. Thanks to the whole team Anick and Danny... (Show more)
The service was excellent in general from all the staff who work there, the only criticism I would make of them is the fact that they do not have their own parking, it is very difficult to arrive in an emergency and there is no place to park and having to look for somewhere in the surrounding areas with the risk of a traffic violation.
cI cannot begin to tell you how PHENOMENAL the team was at Hospital Amerimed Cancún. During a recent vacation from California to Cancun, I fell unconscious at my resort and was "rescued" by my parents who were incredibly wise in taking me to what they heard was one of the best hospitals in Cancun - Amerimed. I am 100000% sure this is far superior to any healthcare I have ever received in the States with top-notch Doctors and Nurses. Even when the nurses had very little English to hold a conversation or understand me, they went above-and-beyond to use Google Translate with me and care for me endlessly with such kindness and compassion. We felt like we were in such good hands (aside from a few culture differences/barriers), but I just cannot speak highly enough about my experience at Amerimed Cancun - even despite the circumstances. The people were amazing and the food was honestly better than the Hilton hotel we stayed at afterwards and several restaurants. So fresh, local, and (for the most part), exactly what I requested due to my picky eating. Dr. Dra. Andrea Vilchis Psiquiatra was and is one of the greatest people I have ever met/worked with her and I think I cried saying goodbye - however, I was delighted to be able to keep in contact with her. She made a serious difference in my progress and health. I also wanted to give a special thanks to my favorite nurses in the Psychiatric ward: Angie, Karen, Nefari, Andrea from Physical Therapy, Louis, Rueben, and Stephanie. I am very blessed to have met them all and the great experience I had, granted the circumstances and fact that it was my first time ever being hospitalized. If it was to ever happen again (which I hope not...), I would not want to be at any other hospital. Thank you again, team Hospital Amerimed Cancún, from my entire family and myself.... (Show more)
Everything was very good in its facilities and the attention of its staff in all areas... recommended
We arrived at the emergency room with referrals from a hotel, we waited for them to treat us without success, we had to change hospitals, I don't recommend it, much less in the emergency room.
My experience has been excellent. All staff very professional and friendly
My experience at Amerimed Cancún Hospital was exceptional. The staff demonstrated professionalism and empathy at every step, providing high-quality medical care. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, which contributed to my peace of mind during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hospital for those looking for reliable, top-notch medical care in the region.... (Show more)
My sister was treated for kidney stones in August and we signed a document agreeing to pay $13,800. When we got home, our credit card was charged $38,000. We have made numerous attempts to speak to the hospital, no one has responded. They sent a credit card receipt that clearly shows that they <$_1> and are still demanding payment. Stay away from this hospital, they will scam you out of lots of money.... (Show more)
The charges are abusive, don't go.
Terrible service, they charge you thousands of dollars 25,000 euros to enter and every day the worst thing is that they don't cure you, we left and my family had to go to another one where everything and treatment was less than 1,000 dollars, seriously. Terrible service they charge you thousands of dollars 20,000 dollars to enter and every day it adds 5,000 dollars the worst thing is that they don't cure you, we left and my family had to go to another one where everything and treatment was less than 1,000... The treatment of the hospital and administrative staff, It was a very pleasant experience, always with humane, punctual and professional treatment. I am leaving with a very different experience than what one believes. Being hospitalized was like being cared for by my family.
Bad service, expensive and zero good attention!
I am French (do not speak Spanish). During my vacation in Cancun I broke my Femur pass. I was admitted to the emergency room of Amerimed hospital and then transferred to the hospital. On 2/12/2023 I had a total hip prosthesis. On 5/12 I left the hospital and repatriated to France. Since then I have no aftereffects, a nice scar and I walk almost normally without crutches. I highly recommend this hospital. Professor Armando Montecon Dominguez and his team are TOP. The hospital's nursing and administrative staff are friendly, welcoming and very professional. The hospital is modern and the equipment is of the latest generation.... (Show more)
The experience was horrible on February 3, I took my daughter and asked for an invoice for school insurance and it is a date that they keep giving me a long time to deliver it, I already had to pay the charge for the service and nothing I receive the invoice
