Dr Boyan Majstorovic
Graduated from Dental school in 1993 with Highest Honors. He practiced dentistry in Europe until April 1996 when he started practicing in B.C. He is a member of Canadian Dental Association and College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. His experience encompasses all aspects of general dentistry, covering any age group, always striving to provide highest quality of care and making sure that patients feel comfortable during the process. Gentle touch with experience and compassion. There is always more to learn, so Dr.Boyan is continually attending numerous Continuing Education courses, currently expanding in the field of Orthodontics.
Dr Sarah Garbelya
Graduated from RSS and obtained her Bachelor of Science at UBCO. She completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at UBC in Vancouver. She honed her dental skills in a busy Surrey group practice before making the move back to the sunny Okanagan. Sarah is a certified invisalign provider and enjoys providing orthodontic care for her patients. She offers free invisalign consultations to new and existing patients. Sarah enjoyed being a volunteer dentist at the downtown eastside dental clinic in Vancouver which has helped shape her into the gentle and ethical dentist she is today. Sarah is committed to being a lifelong learner through continuing dental education. She enjoys learning and keeping up to date in the prevention and treatment of oral diseases.

She has been working in dental field since 1998, providing services for Dr. Boyan's patients at he front desk as well as managing his practices. Daniela is very personable and always strives to offer kindness and excellence when dealing with our customers. She obtained her University Degree in 1994 , and has completed numerous courses since.
My experience was great! The clinic is located in the original area of the mall/older part of Brentwood mall. I came in randomly since I was shopping. The receptionists welcomed me even though I had no appointment. One of the receptionists seemed new but she was very well supported by a SR. peer. Since they were so kind I thought why not proceed with a consultation. The timing was perfect. I had a concern that bugged me for a few days now and it made me quite anxious. I felt so lucky to be able to squeeze between two patients and get a doctor's opinion. As soon as Dr. Sandhu greeted she was attentive and professional. She quickly examined my mouth and she addressed each concern I had about my teeth and gums. I'm very grateful for her time and attentiveness. I recently had an appointment at this dental clinic, and I'm deeply disappointed with the overall experience. As a new patient, I was booked for a one-hour appointment, even though the main reason was a simple form that took less than a minute to complete. This decision seemed unnecessary and was a poor use of my time. I arrived just 17 minutes late, which left me 43 minutes which is their regular timing for getting done the hygiene but it seemed to be an issue here. They insisted on taking X-rays, despite my concerns, claiming it was necessary for proper tartar cleaning. I reluctantly agreed, but the number of X-rays taken, including a full mouth one, left me puzzled as to why so many were needed. The dental hygienist spent a mere 5 minutes on my teeth and called in the dentist for an unscheduled consultation, which extended the visit well beyond what I had anticipated. My primary reason for the visit was hygiene, not dental consultation. To make matters worse, only 1/4 of the hygiene treatment was completed, and I was asked to return for another full appointment, with the clinic charging me fully again. When I questioned this, the receptionist's response was that I had a lot of tartar, hence the additional cost. This experience left me deeply dissatisfied with the clinic's practices. The lack of transparency, excessive X-rays, and unexpected dental consultation were not what I had expected from a dental appointment. It feels like they are overcharging patients and not providing the services they promise. I strongly advise against seeking dental services at this clinic, as it appears they prioritize profit over patient satisfaction and honest, ethical practices... (Show more)
I so appreciated my appointment with Dr. Shivji and his staff - they were all fantastic. As a nervous patient who has seen many dentists, I highly recommend this place! Dr. Shivji had me come in for a consult regarding a small cavity. After a frustrating week consulting with other dentists, he was the first one to give me thoughtful options and actually listen to my needs. Best of all, he was <$_3>. I haven't had a dentist in a long time but this year I finally got extended healthcare and Alpha Dental just happened to be the closest/most convenient for me long term. But I am so happy I went with them because both times I've been already has been a great experience - everyone is so kind and friendly and they're so efficient too! Maybe I've just grown used to the healthcare crisis that's made it near impossible to see a doctor within a reasonable time but it is so refreshing how easy and straight forward booking and going to Alpha Dental has been! Dr. Safa is really nice and was able to answer all my questions and concerns, and both hygenists I've had so far were great! Reception too is really nice and fast! 10/10 will continue going here!... Just wanted to leave a review on how amazing this place was, how friendly the front desk staff were, and especially Dr. A Shivji. He was incredibly kind, did a great job, and even called my boyfriend and left a very thoughtful voicemail checking in to see how he was doing after having work done. While visiting the beautiful city of Vancouver, some unexpected dental pain came upon me. A family member recommended this clinic. They were able to see me the very next day. I met with Dr Shivji. He as very nice and very calming โฆ I have some fears of dental procedures, but he made the whole experience amazing and very relaxing. Him and his assistant have very calming and soothing voices. He explained my options and since I was visiting from Montreal, I opted for temporary solution to my pain. A few hours later in the evening of the same day I received a call from none other than Dr Shivji, he wanted to know how I was feeling. How nice is that. My pain was gone and continues to remain gone, days later after the temporary solution. He emailed me my X-rays to show my dentist in Montreal. Thank you for the outstanding service.... (Show more)
I've been going to Alpha Dental for about 10 years. They have always done a great job. I've had some wonderful hygienists who can handle my challenging teeth. They have a couple dentists that are amazing with my son. They were good when he was really nervous and continue to take care of him with speed and a warm bedside manner.
I hadn't been to the dentist in over ten years and when I broke my tooth I couldn't ignore it any more. My Dad suggested going to Alpha Dental since it's just a five minute drive away and I was anxious all the way up to the appointment. As a new patient they treat you well, don't judge you for your history, and make sure you're feeling fine every step of they way. My tooth extraction that day and every visit since has been extremely inviting and welcoming, even when some procedures scared me and had me worried for days. DO NOT GO HERE! Their dentists are very rude and dismissive. They missed a problem that developed years ago which turned into an even larger problem and tooth loss. When we tried to address this mistake they made, they became very hostile and dismissive and told us that they didn't want to fix it or cover the cost of their mistake. Had they done their jobs properly in the first place, we wouldn't be in this position. They both took no accountability for their mistakes and were extremely un-empathetic and rude. I had an appointment with Dr. Adnan Shivji after years of avoiding anyone coming in contact with my teeth (due to bad past experiences). He's truly a lovely and genuine guy. I was preparing for the worst and came out surprisingly pleased and even looking forward to our next visit (strangely enough). If you're feeling anxious, I recommend Dr. Adnan Shivji. I had been going to alpha dental for years and had always had a great experience so I took my 2 year old little girl there for her first check up appointment. Unfortunately she has the start of cavity which I had made an appointment to address. The front of office staff met me with such harsh judgment multiple times that I didnโt feel they were a good fit for us any longer. Disappointing to say the least and I do not recommend alpha dental for your children.... (Show more)
When I was looking for a dentist for my family, Alpha was suggested. From the first time I had my appointment there I was very impressed with the services I got. The staffs are friendly, the environment is welcoming Dr Shivji, was amazing He explained everything I needed to know prior to my first tooth extraction, reassured me answered all my questions and generally made me feel as comfortable as possible. Very lucky to have a trustful set of dentists here.
Dr Sandhu is the best dentist ! Sheโs very patience and gentle with our 3 kids (6, 9, 12). After each check up she always provided me with detailed info on our kids teeth and gave additional advises on how to keep our kids teeth in top shape. 2 years now with no cavity for our 2 girls and our little one has a small one that she will take care of soon. I strongly recommend her if you are looking for a family dentist. The front staff at this place is also very friendly. If your kids are into rock and mineral stones, there are many on display throughout the office. They also decorated for Halloween !... (Show more)
I went here to get my teeth cleaned and my cavities filled. For some reason they needed a second opinion and couldn't finish the cleaning in one session. I was careful to make sure all the expenses would be paid by doing an estimate first with my dental insurance. 8 months later I'm learning I have an unpaid amount because my dental insurance doesn't pay for additional units of time for a second visit to access my teeth. Why would they book me in if they can't complete the procedure in one visit?? How come my time is not valuable to them for returning??... (Show more)
Dr. Kim and the Alpha Dental team are simply just amazing. They were able to squeeze me in so fast. I had 6 cavities (not proud) to fix and Dr. Kim was able to get them all done in 2h! And it didnโt even hurt! They also bill insurance directly so one less thing to worry about. I never do regular checkups but I certainly will from now.
Had to come in for an emergency tooth extraction after some severe pain in a damaged tooth. The office was able to get me in same day (even though it was a holiday). Dr Shivji + assistant were awesome, funny and thorough. Despite having major dental anxiety, I can honestly say this was a wonderful shame free experience. So grateful!
Dr. Sandhu saved my front teeth! Don't ask why I used my teeth to pull out something metal. I was clearly not thinking. This dumb move created hairline cracks in both front teeth. I was a bit panicked but was able to get in to see Dr. Sandhu right away. She fixed them and they feel & look better than before and there are no more cracks. Like magic! Thanks Doc :)... (Show more)
Just wanted to say a huge Thank You to the Alpha Dental group. I could not be more grateful for squeezing me in with my dental emergency. After traveling from the interior for a 12 day intense instructor course, my tooth got badly damaged.
