Mr Alexis Antoniou
Alexis Antoniou is a Psychologist-Psychotherapist and a Certified Instructor in Parent Effectiveness Training. He studied psychology at Leeds Metropolitan University where he obtained a BSc Psychology diploma. He continued his studies and gained a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical-Counselling Psychology at LaSalle University of Philadelphia. He also obtained diplomas in Addiction Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at Institute of Counselling Glasgow. Furthermore he became a Certified Instructor in Parent Effectiveness Training from Gordon International Training Organization and he is currently a PhD Candidate in Psychology at the University of Bolton UK and undertaking an MA in Systemic Family Psychotherapy. As a Psychologist he practiced and worked in many mental health organizations such as the Mental Health Services Cyprus, the Centre for Depended Individuals in Athens (KETHEA) and Doctors of the World Greece. He is currently co-operating with the Family Guidance and Support Centre in Limassol and is the scientific coordinator of MY Therapist an agency based in Cyprus offering counselling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, educational and industrial organizations. Alexis is currently running two research projects.
