I had my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Akif last week, and honestly 5 stars is not enough for a doctor who truly changed my life and restored my confidence. First of all, I love that I was able to communicate with the doctor directly, rather than communicating with a clinic or a secretary / sales consultant, and he speaks very good English. He was very honest and very patient in explaining the whole process to me and was kind enough to draw me a simulation during consultation. Dr. Akif welcomed me and my family from the day I arrived in Istanbul to the day I left. He chose a very beautiful hospital that also made us feel very welcome and took care of us before and after the surgery. The recovery process was a piece of cake! There was absolutely no pain and no bleeding. And the best part of all, my nose turned out even better than the simulation he drew for me, and much better than what I wanted. My nose looks so natural and very evenly proportioned with the rest of my face. I’m very happy with the result, and even happier to have chosen Dr. Akif to be my surgeon.... (Show more)

Dr. Mehmet Akif Yıldirim is an excellent doctor who provides attention to detail and provides thorough care to his patients. He is very patient and answers all questions one can have pre and post op. He provides regular follow ups in the clinic and virtually for foreign patients. His services are highly recommended.
I live in Portland and I heard from some friends that they were doing their treatments in Turkey. I never thought to trust my health to a foreign country and especially Turkey. I had an impression that Turkey is good for holiday travel only. As for everything else I believed Turkey is old fashioned, traditional, women are not allowed to go out etc. I was always unhappy with the looks of my nose but I thought İ will get a credit from the bank and make a nose job in the US. İ was really scared to go abroad and make an operation. But I met this woman once in a café and İ looooved her nose shape. And she told me it was done in Turkey in Dr. Akif’s clinic. And was still scared to go but I went. And it turned out that İstanbul is a very modern city with wonderful hospitals and clinics. People are so wonderful in Turkey! My Dr. Akif was very friendly, he listened to my long complaints about my nose and we chose the shape that İ wanted. And that's how İ made my rhinoplasty in Turkey! Mr. Akif performed my rhinoplasty surgery on 09.08.2022, I reached him through social media and at the first meeting, I decided to have the surgery thanks to his detailed explanations about the process and good communication. He explained the entire process in detail before the surgery and his follow-up before and after the surgery was very good. I went through the process very easily. There was no bruising or swelling, and I was able to return to my normal life from the 3rd day. His guidance and advice during the post-operative check-ups were also very good.
