Academic Hospital

As a result of fainting at home, I split my eyebrow and went to the emergency room. Although normally no fee should be charged in the emergency room, they charged me 1214TL for the examination. It is a completely money-oriented hospital!

The hospital does not have its own parking lot. Only hospital staff vehicles are parked in their own car park. There is a private car park a little further down, they direct you there and you give your car to the personnel. This is a disgraceful situation that does not suit a hospital.

Hair transplant. Happy to cooperate with you. Professionalism, cleanliness and kindness are your strong points. My customers were delighted.

Ear Nose and Throat Physician Yalçın Özsoy examined him. He is a very caring and smiling doctor. The hospital also exceeds European Union standards , a wonderful hospital. Mahdi has descended to earth, and in this hospital... Think of a doctor... he works in this hospital one day a week, and for only 2 hours during that day. He does not accept patients from any institution, including private insurance... He charges 4500 TL for a visit for a Turkish citizen... in cash... On February 28, 2023, we made an appointment and went to Neurology Department Specialist Dr. Erem Tokuş for my daughter's "balance problem while walking" that started suddenly. He asked for blood tests, brain scans and Doppler. It cost approximately 10,000 TL. We got it all done. In the results published on March 1, it was said that the MRI and Doppler showed no problems. In the blood test results, it was clearly seen that the iron stores were almost depleted. The doctor recommended that a serum be inserted and an additional 1200 TL was paid and the necessary serum was placed. A week later (March 8, 2023), a blood test was performed again. After the analysis, results were obtained that B12 levels were low and the body was overloaded, and the folic acid level was low. After these results, Dr. Erem Tokuş could not be reached for 4 days. We were told that the doctor would get back to us with each call. On the 4th day, I finally received news from the doctor. But not through him, but through the receptionist... They were calling my daughter to the hospital again. Iron loading was never done. For what purpose does it serve the purpose, only B12 and folic acid were given with serum. Moreover, these vitamins could be more affordable with oral pills. Under these circumstances, is it possible for us to trust that doctor and choose Academic Hospital again? When I called the hospital to complain about the doctor, I could not reach the "Complaint Unit" official. The secretary said they would call me on Monday. You can't be this serious. Being a hospital officer responsible for lives does not require irresponsibility. By the way, my daughter has all those tests, scans, etc. Despite the back and forth waiting, the only thing that has not changed is that the balance problem continues and the problem is still not solved. The place where my son's surgery took place is the late Prof. Dr. Kadir Kotil performed the surgery. His death is a great loss for Turkish medicine.

It was a hospital no different from a mint. Fee ceiling service is zero. Prices are AWESOME. Especially Gastroenterology doctor Erol Avşar

I made a check-up appointment from Istanbul Academic Hospital specifically for my brother-in-law who lives in Germany, we had our check-up done, but they charged us extra for it and we paid 9,000 TL for it. Lastly, we went to the impudent and indecent professor called Professor Erol Avsar for the control result and he did not act or behaved at all, on the contrary, he behaved in a manner of scolding people and behaved in a way that did not suit an ugly professor, plus he acted unbecoming of an academic hospital, an unstable inhuman being. I highly recommend Dr Melekber, plastic surgeon. She is highly skilled and absolutely amazing all round. Her kindness, knowledge and precision is top. And her medical assistant Miss Yesim took time to show reassurance and kindness at such a hard time. I brought my daughter to the emergency room last night. Doctor Mehmet Shepherd took very good care of me, thank you. The child, who had been vomiting all day in an IV drip, came out of the hospital jumping up and down. Thank you.

Prof Dr Ayse Oner, wherever we go. We met him 3 years ago, he is a unique name in the field of pediatric nephrology. We are overcoming my 5 and a half year old daughter's kidney problem together. It is a well-equipped and accessible hospital. I have private health insurance, but I sometimes have trouble making an appointment. The cafe's coffee and cookies are nice.
